A lot of female politicians have their suits custom-made. It is easier to get conservative yet fashionable designs, and the fit is perfect from the beginning. Also, it tends to be a lot less expensive, so there is less to explain to constituents.

I agree its got to be shantung, I actually thought it looked more like evening attire then a business suit proper…
