Bargain Friday’s TPS Report: Anthropologie’s Fiador Tank, by Tiny

in Fashion, The Personal Shopper (TPS)

Our daily TPS reports suggest one piece of work-appropriate attire in a range of prices. We begin the week in splurge mode, with our most expensive suggestions, and wind our way to Friday, where a less expensive item of clothing might be just what you need to make it to the weekend.

We like the navy version of this tank, but we love the white version. (We posted the navy because it was easier to see!) We think the ruching at the neckline would look great under a brown or navy suit, and the neckline is perfect to accessorize with a pair of pearls or a demure necklace. On sale, from $58 to $29.95. Very pretty tank, although I am not a big fan of the causes Anthropologie’s owners support.
OK, here’s a question. What do you do (if anything) when wearing a tank or camisole under a blazer? I tend to sweat a lot (especially in stressful situations like being in court!)–do you just take your blazers to the dry cleaner more often?

I just take them to the drycleaners more often (don’t forget to take your skirt/pants as well…) :( I also keep a cardigan in my office and take my jacket off as soon as I get out of court which helps sometimes.

I would say that if you sweat a lot, you may want to just wear a t-shirt instead of a tank top. There are a lot of great options still, but it’s much better on your suit.

I even do that beneath some of my fancier sweaters — if it’s good cashmere I like to get one or two wearings out of it before I take it to the cleaners or Woolite it up.

I’d love to see a post about appropriate shells or t-shirts to wear under blazers. Most of the fancy “shells” I see in department stores remind me too much of early 80s business women fashion.
