in Fashion, The Personal Shopper (TPS)

Our daily TPS reports suggest one piece of work-appropriate attire in a range of prices. We begin the week in splurge mode, with our most expensive suggestions, and wind our way to Friday, where a less expensive item of clothing might be just what you need to make it to the weekend.

New York and Company’s cotton-spandex shirts are great basics to keep in your closet — the touch of spandex means not only that they’re forgiving but also, in our experiences, that you can sometimes forgo the iron. They’re having a sale right now, too, on all of their city stretch shirts — most are marked to $25, with a special sale where if you buy one you get the second one 75% off. So you could get 2 blouses for under $33 — not bad if you’re growing your wardrobe. We like this great blue plaid number — it’s on trend with the resurgence of plaid without being lumberjack-like.
