With the trend towards layering of tops, chemises are very functional in adding detail such as lace peeking below a t-shirt with out adding bulk. I'm tall, with a longer torso, and they seem a little longer than the ON ones. I think they're also on sale for around $5'ish. For those having issues with straps that are too long, try gathering them at the back with a safety pin, so you get more of a racerback effect. It's a quick way to shorten straps that aren't adjustable. I have 4 that are great (bought about a year ago). But when I decided to stock up on 3 more colors this fall, they had tweaked the design. Now the straps were VERY long, completely out of proportion. I am planning to take in the straps on the ones I've cut the tags off. If that doesn't go well I'll take back the camisoles I haven't worn yet. All in all, I'd definitely suggest trying them on in a store rather than buying online. I love these camisoles. I have 4 that are great (bought about a year ago).
