I've had really good luck with J.crew tall dress shirts- long enough and big enough in the shoulders (having been an athlete for most of my life, with bulky shoulders, I should know!)
Hope that helps.

I'm 6', size 12 and with relatives just recently out of the trees. I need a 26" sleeve. I find that petite but full length skirts are just right for mid calf winter warmth. Great with boots.

Dana Bachman and Jones NY fit great. Eddie bauer, even the talls are too short in the sleeves. I l ike chadwicks and of course long tall sally is just made for me.

Longtallsally.com is a great site for tall women. They have recently expanded into more tailored and expensive suits, and their clothes are wonderful and not that expensive.

A couple tips about their clothes:
I'm 6' and regularly wear a size 12 or 14 from other stores. At Long Tall Sally the clothes run pretty big. A large is usually slightly too large for me, and I definitely wear a 12 instead of a 14. The best part about their clothes is that everything is sized for taller women. Unlike J.Crew's "tall" suit coats (where they've just extended the sleeve length), Long Tall Sally's blazers are longer through the waist and slightly broader through the shoulders. The same applies to their dresses. The waists of the dresses actually hit me in the right place - and I'm long-waisted in addition to being quite tall.

The only problem with the site is that clothes sell out really fast, so you need to jump on something that you like. And, there's a LOT to like.

I'm 5'11" and have this same problem. I'm young and new to the office world so my jeans come from Cruel Girl (37"!) or Wrangler (36") and I've never bought a pair of formal pants in my life. No jackets fit properly. Long sleeve shirts are out of the question.

I'm 6'4" and living in the US. I'm from Australia and bought this pair of pants http://www.talljeans.com.au/reubenzara.html when I was home about 4-5 years ago. They are great quality and well worth the money, considering that I wear them anytime I need to wear nice trousers! Shipping is expensive so I'm waiting til I'm home next, but definitely look into it ladies! I think they go up to a 38" (which is what I wear, without heels!)

I'm 6' tall with a 37-38" inseam, so even "Gap X-tra Long jeans" are a stretch in heels. There used to be a great store in NY, Boston, Westchester NY, etc called "Tall Girl" which was affiliated with a Canadian company. Tall Girl was bought out by a British company called Long Tall Sally, and they don't have stores anymore, but they do have a catalog that often has suiting and dress shirt options, as well as shoes, boots, and dresses. All of their stuff is built for taller women (long sleeves, lower waist with shirts, knees in the right place on pants, skirts that actually hit mid-knee) and they actually offer multiple inseam options on pants. However, they seems to have an inventory problem -- sometimes the website lists things as in stock, but they aren't once you get to the check out page. I think the merger and business model shift was a huge change for them, but I'm sticking with it, as I have NO other options with legs this long. ::whine :: ;-)

The brands they carry that I own the most of are Louben and Neva. I think they are Canadian brands. They are mid-price separates that have taken a beating when I was a pharamaceutical rep, and are still kicking around the workplace. They also used to have Pendelton tall (for a more classic, Brooks Brothers look), but I see no evidence of a tall option on the Pendleton website now.

I'm really surprised I haven't seen anything about Limited on this blog.

I'm 5' 10.5", wear a 36 inch inseam with flats and have a slight build and small bust but broad hips and shoulders.

I've had some success with long sizes at Limited and my go-to suit is one of their travel suits, which does not wrinkle much and easily lets most wrinkles go with just a nice hanging. The Cassidy pant fits very well.

I have had the hems redone on pants to work better with heels, but they fit right out of the gate with flats and the hemming was no problem. The jacket in a regular size fits well without tailoring and has plenty of length in the sleeves and torso.

I second the call for shirts to wear with suits. I have not been able to find any long enough in the torso and arms.
