Tuesday’s TPS Report: Cole Haan Fiona Low Air Pump

Our daily TPS reports suggest one piece of work-appropriate attire in a range of prices. We begin the week in splurge mode, with our most expensive suggestions, and wind our way to Friday, where a less expensive item of clothing might be just what you need to make it to the weekend.

Cole Haan – Fiona Low Air Pump (Sand Embossed Snake)A great nude pump is a summer staple. It can take some hunting to find the right shade that matches your skin, but once you find it, your legs look long — infinite! — but barely noticeable. We’d suggest checking out Cole Haan’s popular line of Fiona pumps — blessed with Nike Air technology, they are legendary for their comfort. We particularly like that the low heels here are walkable — and that Zappos has them 33% off. Was $298, now $200. Cole Haan – Fiona Low Air Pump (Sand Embossed Snake) – Footwear

  1. oh what a sale! I will need to check those out as I have tried them on several times and they are indeed super comfy.

  2. I have a couple pairs of the Cole Haan Nike shoes and don’t find them that comfortable. Cute, yes, but I still have to take them off after three or four hours and wear my shoes that really are comfortable.

  3. They are cute! But, I have to agree with Lobbyist regarding the comfort level. At first, they do feel as if they are going to be really comfortable, but if you have them on for long, they feel just like any other high heel. I would still get them though, because I can’t seem to say no when it comes to cute shoes, regardless of the pain. :-)

  4. as much as I wanted to like Cole Haan Air shoes, the toe box was all wrong and I got blisters all over the tops of my toes. So sad since they were otherwise super-comfy

  5. I’m with the posters above. If your foot is at all slightly wider than narrow you probably won’t be able to wear these. Their “regular” widths are actually “narrow” IMO. I think what happened is that while the shoe is the right width the Nike air padding makes the toe box much smaller. Really bad design on Cole Haan’s part. I really wanted to like this, but just couldn’t not stick my foot inside it :(

  6. I have a lot of Nike Air shoes. They are great for the casual shoes in softer leathers and suede. But the leather in the dressier ones (like this shoe and another shoe I have that is a low wedge in patent leather) seems very stiff and takes a long time to soften up. So far I’m finding both very uncomfortable.

What I love, although they are extremely expensive, are a pair of lower kitten heels from Manolo Blahnik that practically molded themselves to my feet immediately, and a pair of 2.5 inch heels from Taryn Rose that are designed with a chunkier heel and rounder toebed so they aren’t as hard on my feet. I spent over $1000 on these shoes in total, but I wear them ALL the time (both are black) and always feel both reasonably comfortable and very professional in them.
