I wouldn't wear it as a "work shoe" but it is a great shoe to throw on to walk around the block w/o having people notice your shoes on your way out the door. Also, it is still almost professional so you could pull it off for a hand delivery without killing your feet in your heels. Where I work the sidewalks are in bad shape and it is a given that nobody walks outside in their work shoes. For one it is dangerous and two the heel would break. I would recommend a pair of ballet flats if you want to walk on your lunch hour over these.
