Our daily TPS reports suggest one piece of work-appropriate attire in a range of prices. We begin the week in splurge mode, with our most expensive suggestions, and wind our way to Friday, where a less expensive item of clothing might be just what you need to make it to the weekend.
We’re loving this cotton and silk blouse from Banana Republic — we love it in all the colors it comes in (white, yellow and green), but particularly the green. It’s fresh and springy, but not dusty at all like pastels can be sometimes. We’d wear it with navy trousers, dark gray, or even black (so long as there was another major color in the mix so you don’t end up looking like a mint cookie). The weather is getting warmer, and a great habit to develop is to take a twenty minute walk at lunch to clear your head, get away from your computer, and get a bit of exercise in your day. Comfortable walking shoes are a must, but then, you don’t want to advertise the fact (in this economy!) that you’re leaving your desk by putting on big white shoes. Our advice? Look into great comfort brands, like Sofft, and their lovely, low-heeled Calypso. It’s totally appropriate with most work outfits, but serious cushioning inside makes it great for a quick walk. We have a gorgeous, gorgeous blazer for our suggested splurge/dream item/window shopping fun today — namely, the Moschino Cheap and Chic Blazer Jacket. We love the fit of this one-button blazer, and we love, love, love the grosgrain banding at the sleeves and on the lapels.
