all in all, this is a pretty boring looking–but useful–site. Kind of like a lawyer and her wardrobe.

Can you return to a non-serif font? The serif font is harder to read.

I’d also like a better “Archives” section in terms of being able to tag and find certain articles.

Last, when you first started, you’d have more tips on how to be efficient or tools for making life easier. The blog has now morphed into a nearly-completely fashion site (save for a few links on Friday). Bring back the tools that targeted your blog overachieving chicks back! We don’t want all fashion all the time.

You might want to do some market research as well, like a surveymonkey survey to find out things like geography, age, height, profession, income, shopping frequency, avg spend, fave stores, etc. This would be useful information for your advertisers and would help target editorials as well.

Provide an option for those commenting on a particular entry to subscribe to the comment thread, receiving notices by email. Your site traffic will increase because people will be reminded to return automatically.

Here’s a question for you guys — would you like an Open Thread for the weekend? Maybe to start Friday afternoon or something? I notice it seems to be very popular at Lifehacker and Jezebel. Hmmn, maybe we could piggy-back it with the Weekly Updates — just invite people to use it as an Open Thread. Thoughts?

I second D about the comments link being up near the title of the post. As there aren’t lots of posts every day (which is fine!), I re-check to see if there has been feedback to a post… handier to have the link next to the title.

I liked having the “jump” to comments up with the article’s title rather than following the article. The number of comments is the first think I look for.

Masthead redesign is in the works… and we’ll take your comments into consideration about the 3-column layout. We really wanted it to have an “about” slug somewhere more visible than it was before (which was way below the ads) but maybe the trade-off isn’t worth it. And re: tags — yes, every entry is tagged and categorized — I’ll have to figure out how to get those visible again. Very odd.

Ha ha ha, yes, the masthead has to be redesigned. I really like all the other changes, the type is a lot nicer. Ads don’t bother me.

Is it possible to get the entries tagged (or re-tagged, since I remember seeing tags in the past)? I’d like to be able to search “suits” or “blazers” and so on instead of scrolling down all the time.

yeah, the content feels squished now and no longer the focus. but, perhaps we’ll get used to it. also, now i have a scroll bar along the bottom b/c it doesn’t all fit/readjust to my screen.
