Wow! That's a whole lotta look. I guess I would need a full blazer before I felt comfortable wearing this to the office, and even then it would have to be a Friday.

The outlined placket and pockets scream "little girl romper" to me, so maybe that is what I am reacting to.

I definitely agree on the dress suggestion; easier to add sleeves than length. I wish the model didn't look like a pouty high school student, though; it makes it much harder to imagine this dress in an office setting.
And as for a t-shirt over the dress...I'm not sure I'd do that, but a short-sleeve sweater with a tidy hemline (so it looks like it's meant to not be tucked in) would probably be OK.

A t-shirt over a dress... For the office? Really?? Would people mind sharing whether (1) they actually do/have done that and (2) they'd consider it with this dress? I've never encountered that particular practice and think I'd feel extremely strange, but I'm always eager to learn...

I agree on the choice between the two dresses. Note that TB runs pretty small, especially through the hips and bust. I usually wear a 4-6 in dresses, but go up to an 8 in Tory.

I think the background of this dress is navy (the color is "navy starburst"), so I would probably play off the white instead (I'm thinking a wrap sweater would look sharp enough and yet break up the pattern). If you could get the yellow right, that would be cute too.

I would also choose this dress over the other (you can add sleeves, but not hemline inches!)
