I also have to say – remember that Nanette LePore mustard-colored jacket of some time ago, with the asymmetrical ruffle? I saw it in person in a boutique this past weekend, and I completely revised my assessment of it. The picture didn’t do it justice, at all. Much cuter in real life.

I put Foot Petals heel cushions in every new pair of heels ( http://www.footpetals.com/Heavenly%20Heelz.html ). I swear by them! Also, Avon used to have an anti-blister balm that worked really well, although I’m not sure if they still sell it.

If I do still end up with a blister (usually because I forgot to add the cushions), I have a pair of back-less slip-on shoes that I wear until the blister is healed. They’re like a cross between a mule and a high-heeled-loafer. Not my favorite pair of shoes, but better than aggravating the blister even further.

Unfortunately, don’t think you can ever really buy cheap shoes. They are always to blame for uncomfortable work days. Found a pair of Tahari heels that I adore – plus they are great price point and on sale, here.

agree. i’ve never tried on a pair that i was actually comfortable in. Unless they’re with a very low heel.

I can’t believe no one mentioned this yet, but baby powder is great for the sock-averse and blister-prone among us. Sprinkle some into your empty shoe and tap it around to get a fine layer of coverage. It also quiets squeaks.

Some shoes pare worth the splurge. A well-made and excellent-fitting shoe, when properly cared for, can last for many years. I decided years ago that I cared too much about my feet to wear cheap, might-as-well-be-disposable shoes.

Its the shoe and the quality. Not crazy about this particular shoe, but I have a Jimmy Choo with a similar heel – put them on at 7:30 this am and wore all day through 3 airports – comfortably…..
