I didn’t buy one so I don’t know – but JC Penney generally has generous return policies. In my overall experience shopping at JCP, their clothes are of good quality for the price. No one is going to mistake it for designer, but it’s not going to fall apart like Old Navy either.

In your opinion, is the quality of the suits decent? I am very tempted but only if the suits don’t look cheap once you get them on.

Can you do “experience” gifts instead? And for loved ones, things that you can experience with them, like a trip somewhere together? Wrap up the tickets or brochure or whatever if you want to have something physical to give them… Then for the next occasion (birthday or something) you can put together pictures from this “experience” and give it to them so they’ll remember the occasion… this way the gift doesn’t seem like something “lesser” than a physical gift in the sense that they might forget about it after awhile.

I think the older I get, the less I like shopping for Christmas gifts for people. Going to places like Target or Best Buy just seems so uninspired, you know?

Jones New York has the same offer as Anne Klein (they’re owned by the same parent) – 30 percent off sale and free shipping. They also have some “last chance” things the discount doesn’t apply to, but most of it is already 60-75 percent off. Some nice jackets, suits and work-appropriate tops.
