Surely the greens destined for bagged salads aren't the only ones contaminated? And the types of bacteria they're talking about aren't greatly diminished by washing, as I understand it, only by cooking. I'm much more alarmed about what's in our meat supply than I am about my bagged salads. I am like Janice. My husband is the primary caretaker of the children, and I'm the breadwinner. I also didn't wear a ring, and still don't, after 8 years of marriage.
