Here’s an article about Sheryl Sandberg’s hope to spur a movement with her new book and some of the criticisms that she’s been receiving. I found it interesting because her messages have really resonated with me.
And Slate’s DoubleX has a criticism of it as well.

I haven’t read the book yet, but other articles about it that I’ve read indicate that it discusses both that a woman should “lean in” and that we need some structural and societal changes for women to be truly equally represented. The most recent press (including both the NYT article I posted and this Slate article) seems to just focus on the first prong.
So because it didn’t work out for her, it is bad guidance? Sounds like she is speaking from a fair amount of privilege herself….
Oh my, those baggy trousers are horrible! Does MC Hammer get royalties off these?
Haha, I kind of love some of them. Then again, I’d probably dress like I Dream of Jeannie if left to my own devices…
