I’ve noticed this boiled wool blazer before at Macys.com, and I think with the right outfit it could be really cute — I like the bright color, the almost origami-like ruffles, and the shawl collar. I spied these fun blue trousers a few days ago and have been personally lusting after them — but when I went to the IFB conference yesterday I noticed two or three women wearing this color of pant and looking fabulous. One paired it with a neon yellow sweater, while the others paired it with classic black or white — but it looked pretty hot on everyone. It was daring but classic at the same time, and would be great for a woman who doesn’t mind standing out. Hello: love this blouse. Admittedly, the color is half of it — I have an entire wall of my bedroom painted this color — but it’s the little details that I love the most: the interesting shape to it, the stand collar, the hidden placket, the cotton eyelet. Dillards has a ton of work-appropriate dresses marked to under $50 right now, and I’m liking this simple dress from Donna Morgan. I think it’s the slight tulip shape to the skirt that makes it more appropriate for the office — most dolman-sleeved dresses I’ve seen are styled skintight. Day-um — there are some nice deep discounts at Charles Tyrwhitt.  The store, primarily known for men’s shirts, has a limited but classic women’s selection — think Brooks Brothers or Thomas Pink — now marked as low as $25.  I’m liking this simple merino button cardigan in aubergine.  It was $200, but is now marked to $60. Lovely sheath dress from Elie Tahari, which I first spied at Bloomingdale’s (on sale in black in limited sizes) – but then I realized Lord & Taylor had all 3 colors, more sizes, and a deeper discount: score.  I like the classic styling — especially the high back — as well as the interesting folded collar. S’alright: we had the classic black pump yesterday. If, however, you’re in a bit more of a playful mood, I like this colorful shoe from Ivanka Trump’s new shoe line. Fuchsia pink, orange, and beige details — I love it. I think it would look great with neutrals like navy and white. (The shoe also comes in black on black and beige on white.)
