Coffee Break – Treesje Coco

Treesje - Coco (Grey Perf) - Bags and LuggageTreesje bags are one of my new favorites — they’re well-made, interesting, and have a slight rock star quality to them — and for some reason Zappos has a ton of Tressje bags on sale today. I like the Coco bag — the gray perforated leather reminds me of lux things like driving gloves, and I love the multiple interior pockets and key ring. It was $475, marked today to $356.25. Coffee Break – Kaida Kitten Heel

Fitzwell - Kaida (Pewter Kid Leather) - FootwearI’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I love a kitten heel for the office. This style from Fitzwell has numerous reviews extolling the comfort and style, and I really like the starburst pattern on the vamp. It’s available in “pewter” (pictured), black patent leather, and (in calf leather) black, brown, and navy. It’s $69 at Fitzwell – Kaida (Pewter Kid Leather) – Footwear

Coffee Break – Cami Bra

Reader C wrote in to recommend this item, which seems like it fills a definite niche:

This cami bra is my new best friend. I have it in white and in black. It is perfect under wrap dresses and the like for work. Some people might prefer the “cami” to come up a little higher, but if I need to be that conservative I’m probably wearing a suit anyway. I had been looking for a product like this for years but the ones at Neiman’s were too lacy and crazy expensive. This one is perfect. No more cutting off perfectly good camis so they bottom line won’t show through. Packing for a trip just got easier too. (How many times have I packed the blouse or dress but forgotten the cami?) Incidentally, at least on me, a 34-D, the support and shaping of the bra is very good and the comfort is fine, though I probably could have done with a DD, which is not available.

Wow! The bra apparently features an underwire, so this is a full-on bra (and not, say, a “dickey” like I remember wearing as a teenager — Amazon has a few lace dickies for sale; they may also be called “modesty panels”) I do like this more modern cami bra, though, and can see how it would be welcomed by a lot of women in the summertime. This one is $32 at Target, and is available in white and black. Assets® by Sara Blakely ® Foundations Cami Bra

Coffee Break – Green Three Row Nugget Torsade Necklace

Green Three Row Nugget Torsade Necklace I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: I love a good statement necklace.  This one in particular looks great for those times you want to add a second or even third color to your outfit.  On the safe side it would be nice with a light blue button-front shirt — on the more playful side, though, I might wear it with a purple top or even a yellow springy one.  It’s $398 at Brooks Brothers. Coffee Break – Orly Slingback

Sam Edelman OrlyI’ve known of the brand Sam Edelman for years, but it recently seems like they’re really stepping it up a notch, because they have a ton of great pumps out right now. I’m particularly liking this slingback pump (available in black, camel, a two tone white/camel, and a zebra stripe). The camel in particular looks like it would be a great shoe if it matches your leg color; the zebra also would add a lot of whimsy to an otherwise boring outfit. They’re $115 at Nordstrom. Coffee Break – 7/8″ Snake-embossed leather skinny belt

7/8" Snake-embossed leather skinny belt I like this basic gray skinny belt from Talbots — it’s a great way to add a bit of sophistication and interest to an otherwise boring outfit of pants and a blouse. Talbots has it in two colors: gray (pictured) for $42, and a cameo rose on sale for $19. Note that it does come in plus sizes… 7/8″ Snake-embossed leather skinny belt
