I hate to be negative and I really appreciate the plus size listings, but this set of picks feels so depressing to me. I have money to spend on high-quality plus-sized not-boring professional suits, blazers, and dresses. Where are they?

    • Saks has very drool-worthy brands, and Lafayette 148 has high quality stuff too. Interesting topic though.

I know this is a year later but I agree with you especially as a young professional. Some of those sweaters and tops were downright dowdy. I’d suggest to ASOS which has some work appropriate clothing in plus-sizes and a bit of edginess. Also, Simply Be, Lane Bryant has updated a lot lately, and even JcPenney with their Stylus and Worthington brands.

Last but not least, eShakti which a site that offers a wide size range of well made clothing and will even customize to your measurements for a small fee. They’ll usually also adjust necklines, sleeves, and hemline.

  2. Just got back from Italy and splurged on some gorgeous work-appropriate Marina Rinaldi outfits. But their website does not ship to the US. Established a relationship with the shop in Florence and will get items by emailing them. Salon Z at Saks used to have many beautiful items, but they no have the collection in their stores, only some online. Not sure why lines like Dana Buchman no longer have plus sizes. I rely on Calvin Klein mostly now.
