If you’re in the mood for prints, this silk/cotton top from Anthropologie is a fun way to liven up your workday. I’d pick one of the teeniest splashes of color to accent an otherwise neutral outfit — the periwinkle, or perhaps the orange — with another accessory such as a belt, a necklace, or even a pair of shoes. It’s $98 at Anthropologie. Molten Blouse

Love this cotton sweater from Anthropologie — the abstract pattern and the blue “blurs” seem to promise spring. I might pick up the lightest blue in my accessories — a turquoise necklace or ring would be great. It’s $118 at Anthropologie. Kaleidolight Cardigan

This boiled wool sweater jacket caught my eye a few days ago, and it’s been on my mind since — love the fitted look, the pleats in the back, and the delicate leaf/floral applique all over it. I’d wear it with wide black trousers and a jewel tone top, and perhaps add a brooch. It’s $128 at Anthropologie. Arbor Vines Sweater Jacket

We’re normally against bowties, but we’re digging this bright silk blouse from Anthropologie. We like the unusual color, the cool “waterfall” detailing on the sleeves, and, God help us, even the loosely tied bowtie. We wish the blouse were long enough to tuck in, but that’s just us. We’d wear it with gray trousers and a navy cardigan, perhaps. It’s $98 at Anthropologie (most sizes available on 1/22, for some reason). Bright Side Blouse

We love the vibrant colors and pattern of this cotton cardigan from Anthropologie — the crochet, the buttons, the bracelet sleeves — altogether it’s feminine and beautiful. Because it is so feminine we’d wear it with trousers (perhaps we’d try a pinstripe if we were very daring) and a simple black or white shell beneath it, or perhaps a bodysuit blouse. It’s $128 at Anthropologie. Laced Roses Cardigan

We’re noticing an ever-so-slight Victorian bent to clothes for fall — a lot of high collars, ruffles, and so forth, and this jacket by Charlie & Robin fits nicely in with the trend. We’re normally opposed to ruffles at work, but we like the stand-up collar of the jacket, its tailored nature, and the fact that this is a boiled wool, giving it a bit more substance than many things that are ruffled. We’d wear it with gray slacks and perhaps a colorful tee — a grassy green, or perhaps a maroon — and very simple jewelry. Available at Anthropologie for $128 in black, brown, and purple.
