This strikes me as a great follow up to our discussion last week about lace at the office, because I love the look of this lace-print cardigan from Banana Republic, currently on sale. It’s a simple, classic shape, and can really be worn year-round if temperature permits. I do wish it were silk rather than cotton, but ah well. It was $79.50, now marked to $49.99 — all sizes still available in regular and petites, but only XS available in tall. Banana Republic Phoebe lace print cardigan

Loving this purple ombre belt — at 3/4″ wide it’ll fit in most pant loops, yet is still skinny enough (I think) to look good on top of a cardigan or dress. I particularly like that the belt loop is purple as well. It’s $55 at Banana Republic, but use promo code BR25MARCH and it comes down to $41.25 in your cart. Banana Republic Exotic ombre belt

I have heard many readers sing the praises of this wrap dress — enough so that I recently bought one for myself in black. And it’s great — it’s easy to get the wrinkles out, comfortable to wear and to throw on in the morning, and generally all-around appropriate for work. I wear a camisole under mine just to raise the neckline a bit, but in general: it’s a great dress. Which makes the sales today even better — the black and gray colors are marked $49.99, while the purple and teal (available online only) are still marked $98. However — with code BRJAN25, you can take 25% off your order today, which lowers the price even more. The dress is available in regular, talls and petites. Banana Republic 3/4-sleeve faux-wrap dress

We all know I love a good sweater jacket, and this one is no exception — even with the “eye-catching embellishment,” which looks (to my eyes, at least) muted enough for the workday. I’m intrigued by the “special yarn” that features a “hint of cashmere and lofty texture for inviting softness,” and I like the collar and general jacket styling. I also think it looks great with the belt. The sweater is $130 at Banana Republic (sizes XS-XL) — use code BRFREE50 for free shipping on orders over $50. Banana Republic Embellished sweater jacket

If you’re a fan of the Jackson fit pant at Banana Republic, head’s up — they have a new wool flannel trouser just in time for winter. I like the wider leg, as well as the slanted pockets (so much more flattering than vertical pockets). They’re also having a decent sale today, too — 25% off plus free shipping on $50+ with code BROCT25. Nice! The pants are $110, available in petites and regular — the 25% off takes them down to $82.50. Banana Republic Jackson fit winter wool trouser

We are loving this navy dress from Banana Republic — it’s simple, classic, and likely to be flattering — we even like how the sleeves are actual sleeves and not cap sleeves. Lovely. It’s $150 at Banana Republic in regulars, talls, and petites.Banana Republic Lightweight wool navy textured sheath dress
