Splurge Monday’s TPS Report: Cashmere Knit Jacket

Our daily TPS reports suggest one piece of work-appropriate attire in a range of prices.

Happy Monday!  I am loving this simple blazer from Akris. The color is unusual, but not so quirky that you’re limited in when you can wear it. I love (love!) the double pocket, as well as the darts for fit. I’d wear it with a burgundy silk blouse and, perhaps, brown pants. It’s $3,990 at Neiman Marcus (limited sizes only, alas). Wednesday’s TPS Report: Knit Herringbone Jacket

Our daily TPS reports suggest one piece of work-appropriate attire in a range of prices.

Banana Republic Knit Herringbone JacketLove this knit herringbone jacket from BR. It strikes me as the perfect shrunken blazer-but-not-a-blazer to wear on top of dresses and longer untucked tops. It’s $150 (available in regular and petites). Banana Republic Knit Herringbone Jacket

Frugal Friday’s TPS Report: Fitted Blazer

Our daily TPS reports suggest one piece of work-appropriate attire in a range of prices.

Mossimo® Women's Fitted Blazer - BlackIn general I’m not a fan of the super cheap blazer, but they have their place: when you’re losing or gaining weight, when everything you own is dirty, when you’re traveling and without your regular wardrobe… and I’ll admit it, I’ve had my fair share of $20 blazers turn into “the piece I can’t live without.” With those caveats, I like this Mossimo blazer from Target — the textured cotton strikes me as a perfect material for a “separate,” and the blazer itself seems pretty inoffensive and basic. It’s $29.99 at Target (sizes 2-16). Mossimo® Women’s Fitted Blazer – Black

Tuesday’s TPS Report: The Fiance Blazer

Our daily TPS reports suggest one piece of work-appropriate attire in a range of prices.

Bop Basics The Fiance BlazerHmmn: let’s agree to ignore the unfortunate leggings and focus instead on the blazer, which looks like a great shrunken blazer. Love the slightly wide lapels, the length of the overall blazer, and saturated red color. It’s $198 at ShopBop. Bop Basics The Fiance Blazer

ANNARITA N. BlazericonYoox.com has a ton of cute blazers on sale right now (and the spring-summer collection is up to an additional 60% off!). I’m liking this interesting blazer from Annarita N. — loving the folds, pleats, and ruffles, all set against the backdrop of a simple stretch jersey blazer/sweater jacket.  It’s available in both gray and black (sizes 4-10 only, alas), for $260. Splurge Tuesday’s TPS Report: Striped One-Button Jacket

Our daily TPS reports suggest one piece of work-appropriate attire in a range of prices.

Giorgio Armani Exclusive Striped One-Button JacketHappy Tuesday! I am absolutely loving the wide stripes and the high button on this Giorgio Armani jacket. The interplay of the stripes is fascinating to me — the vertical stripes (of the arms, the shoulders, and just behind the button) contrast beautifully with the diagonal stripes, and I love that the diagonal lines on the lapel go in a different direction than the diagonal lines on the body. Fabulous. Was $2295, marked to $918 (lucky sizes only). Giorgio Armani Exclusive Striped One-Button Jacket
