We are normally (really) not fans of orange, but something about this jacket looks so, so luxe to us. The fabric looks unusual, and the detailing at the nipped waist — and the snaps on the front of the jacket — are all really interesting. We’d wear it with a beige or white pencil skirt, perhaps, or maybe even a navy blue sheath dress. It’s $2100 at Bergdorf Goodman in sizes 6-14. Fendi Snap-Front Jacket

Yes, the recession stinks, but you have to love an economy where a perfectly classic Fendi bag — Italian leather, rolled handles with just a hint of insignia, and the classic jacquard lining — is on sale. It’s marked from $1630 to $979 at Barneys. Fendi Twin Leather Tote at Barneys New York

Oooo, great basic, luxurious bag. We lurve this Fendi shoulder bag in navy, featuring gold hardware, a woven strap, and contrast top stitching. At 17 inches wide, by 12 inches high, by 4 inches deep, it puts it on the larger side of shoulder bags, but for us that’s close to the perfect size. We would totally rock it out with a black suit — navy is one of the new neutrals. Available at Net-a-Porter for $1560. Fendi Selleria Hobo shoulder bag
