I’m not sure how I feel about the entire suit for this look (although A for effort, ASOS — a fresh take on a suit that also might fly in an office! Hooray!) but I actually quite like the gray blazer with fluorescent yellow trim. Love the flouncy details at the back, and the really classic cut with that pop of bright, bright color. It’s available at ASOS in gray/yellow and navy/orange for $99. ASOS Boyfriend Blazer With Fluro Trim

For busy working women, the suit is often the easiest outfit to throw on in the morning. In general, this feature is not about interview suits for women, which should be as classic and basic as you get — instead, this feature is about the slightly different suit that is fashionable, yet professional.
Hello, beautiful. I love (love!) two things about this suit: that layered hem and the crosshatch fabric. First, the hem: it’s interesting! It’s different! It isn’t too fussy or overly feminine (no bows, ruffles, ribbons, or more). Second, love that dark charcoal color with a slight crosshatch pattern. Gorgeous. The jacket (Classiques Entier® ‘Ania Mélange’ Jacket) is $268, and the skirt (Classiques Entier® ‘Ania Mélange’ Pencil Skirt) is $148. A matching pair of pants (Classiques Entier® ‘Ania Mélange’ Pants) is $168.

I normally find Black Fleece clothes a bit too avant garde for the office, but I really love the look of this pleated wool dress. I love the tiny pleats on the top, the larger pleats on the skirt, and the waist detailing intrigues me — it half reminds me of a high-waisted skirt, and half reminds me of a crop top (which, I fear, is a look that is coming back). Either way, it’s completely appropriate to wear to the office, and it looks vintage and new at the same time. Lovely. It’s $450 at Brooks Brothers. Super 130s Vintage Pleated Dress

This Rachel Roy Signature dress doesn’t look like much on the mannequin, but I have a feeling it would be amazing in person. Love the asymmetrical neckline, the long sleeves, and the detail on the bust. (Alas, there is an exposed zipper.) The Yoox price was $195, but it’s now marked down to $138 — still available in sizes 0-12 as of this AM. RACHEL ROY SIGNATURE Short dresses – Item 34200809

Yoox.com has a ton of cute blazers on sale right now (and the spring-summer collection is up to an additional 60% off!). I’m liking this interesting blazer from Annarita N. — loving the folds, pleats, and ruffles, all set against the backdrop of a simple stretch jersey blazer/sweater jacket. It’s available in both gray and black (sizes 4-10 only, alas), for $260. ANNARITA N. Blazer

Today I’m loving this origami sheath dress in one of J.Crew’s suiting materials, wool crepe. The slight A-line skirt — the cap sleeves — the high neckline — the beautiful folds at the neck — it all seems really lovely. It’s available in four colors (charcoal, pictured, as well as a light gray “cool dusk,” a beige “morning fog,” and a “decadent red”) at J.Crew for $188. Origami sheath dress in wool crepe
