I like a good cardigan — especially this fitted one from Halogen. Love the big buttons and the two pockets, as well as the deep, deep V. It’s available in10 colors in regular sizes, and 3 colors in petite sizes. Was $79, now marked to $46.90 at Nordstrom. Deep V-Neck Merino Wool Cardigan

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is on — as always, they’re marking down new fall merchandise for a limited time; prices rise after August 1. For today’s TPS I like this knit bow top. Love the ruched sleeves, the deepish V, and the fact that it’s a knit instead of a blouse. It’s available in ivory, black, espresso, magenta, and gunmetal. The price is currently $37.90 — but it will be $58 after the sale ends. Halogen® Knit Bow Top

There are limited sizes and colors left of this cardigan, but considering that it came in 11 colors originally, that speaks really well of the sweater. A good cardigan is gold in spring, summer and fall, particularly when you consider unpredictable weather and overeager air conditioners. This sweater was $44, and is now marked to $24.90 (still available in S-L in the coral and S only in butter). Halogen Crewneck Cardigan

Yesterday, readers were singing the praises of this great seamed knit skirt from Nordstrom — love that it comes in 6 colors (including fever pink, pictured, as well as black, gray, “grapevine” purple, “cadet” blue, and “chalet” green). It’s fully-lined, has lots of stretch, and comes in sizes 0-16 (reportedly running a bit large). Lovely. It’s $68 at Nordstrom. Halogen® Seamed Knit Skirt

For busy working women, the suit is often the easiest outfit to throw on in the morning. In general, this feature is not about interview suits, which should be as classic and basic as you get — instead, this feature is about the slightly different suit that is fashionable, yet professional.
It’s not often that I find a suit that I like the looks of for less than $210 — but this Halogen suit had me at hello. Love the “faint stripes” that add a bit of interest to an otherwise totally normal gray suit, and love the sliiiight peplum effect at the pockets. It’s nice that both pieces are lined, as well, and available in sizes 0-16. The jacket (Halogen® Textured Blazer
) is $138, and the skirt (Halogen® Textured Pencil Skirt
) is $68.

We like this long merino wool cardigan for a laid back fall day at the office. The stripes, contrast trim and slim fit give it a youthful edge, but the fabric and the style is 100% office appropriate. If stripes aren’t your thing, they also have a multitude of colors available in solids, here
.) The sweater is $69, and available in both regular and petites. Halogen Stripe Boyfriend Cardigan
