Love, love, love the bright pop of color and the crispness for these Emilio Pucci wool pants. That nice crisp pleat, to me, is what elevates these to be office appropriate. With a bright color like this I like to wear soft neutrals like navy or gray with it, as black can look a little stark. They were $990, but are now $594 at Net-a-Porter. Love this blouse! The bow at the top, the puffy sleeves, and most of all, the lovely, abstract pattern. I’d skip the leather skirt that Net-a-Porter styled it with but keep the ruby-red pumps — fabulous. The blouse is $340. Anna Sui Metallic silk-blend georgette blouse

Our daily TPS reports suggest one piece of work-appropriate attire in a range of prices. This week, we welcome guest poster Becki Singer of Shopping’s My Cardio.
If I ever come into a large sum of money, my first stop after picking up my check will be a Chanel boutique (preferably in Paris, of course), where I will purchase the most classic, beautiful tweed jacket there ever was. The very definition of timeless classic, a Chanel tweed gives you instant style, substance and cache, whether paired with a cocktail dress, suit pants or jeans and a tee. But, besides being cost-prohibitive (most styles start at $4,000 and climb from there), Chanel doesn’t do online sales. So instead, I thought I’d show you this beautiful Moschino version, which does an excellent job of echoing the classic. Black is the way to go with a splurge like this – maximum versatility and all that. Moschino adds a bit of edge to this ladylike style with studs and exposed zippers, giving it the perfect work-to-weekend vibe. I’d pair it with every single other piece I’ve picked for this week, and about a thousand other things – it’s almost impossible to get wrong. It’s $2,955 at Net-a-Porter. Our daily TPS reports suggest one piece of work-appropriate attire in a range of prices. Today’s guest post is from Capitol Hill Style. Welcome to Corporette, Belle!

The mission of Capitol Hill Style is to teach women how to achieve professional success without sacrificing their sense of style. I happen to love metallics, but wearing sparkle and shine in the workplace requires know how. You want it to look modern without looking like you should be partying at a nightclub.
This jacket from Markus Lupfer ($1,170 at Net-a-Porter) has a fresh silhouette and a metallic thread running through its otherwise staid tweed fabric. Wear it with a silk grey shell and black separates (either trousers or a pencil skirt) for a chic workplace ensemble.
Want to spice up your simple black or grey sheath? Add this jacket and a stack of enamel bangles. This jacket would also look spectacular with a white tee, skinny jeans and black tall boots. So be bold this season and add some metallic tweed to your wardrobe. Markus Lupfer Wool-tweed biker jacket

I’m a big fan of Emilio Pucci in general, and I’m particularly loving the dark blues and greens and purples that the designer has out this season. I’m drooling over this silk satin-jersey dress — the vibrant colors would work for spring or fall, and I like the ladylike length and the printed belt. It’s $1,750 at Net-a-Porter. Hmmn: I have never heard of the brand “We Are Owls” before today, but suddenly I am loving all of the scarves they have on the market right now. Case in point: this beautiful blue, teal, yellow, and white cashmere and silk blend scarf. I’d wear it with a blazer, long and loose, or looped loosely once around my neck in place of a statement necklace. It’s $180 at Net-a-Porter. We Are Owls Waves cashmere and silk-blend scarf
