Ribbed Flyaway CardiganEven though they’ve been around for a few years, I still like a good flyaway cardigan — and this ribbed acrylic one from New York & Company looks flattering at a price that’s hard to beat. I’d wear it with a structured/fitted piece (pencil skirt, sheath dress) for the office. It’s available in black, blue, and white for $29.97 (was $49.95). Ribbed Flyaway Cardigan

New York & Co. is having some crazy sales right now — prices up to 70% off, plus take an extra 15% off with promo code 2400 — lots of pieces come below $10.  For today’s TPS, we like this pair of pants, which (strictly speaking) is not on sale (but:  buy one and get the second pair 50% off).  We like the slight bit of sheen to them, and the general flare; we also like that they come in petites and talls.  They’re $46.95 at New York & Co., in sizes 0 through 18.  City Stretch Lightweight Flare Pants

New York & Company Women's City Style Ribbed Sweater Shell - Black
With fall so nearly here, we’re eager to start wearing our twinset shells on top of our blouses for more of a collegiate look.  It’s a great way to deal with gaping buttons, and to dampen an otherwise loud print.  We’d rock it with a suit and a brightly-colored printed blouse, or for a layered look with a blazer and trousers (or a pencil skirt) made out of different fabrics.  This sweater shell (which does come with a matching cardigan, for another classic fall look) is $26.50 at New York & Co.   New York & Company Women’s City Style Ribbed Sweater Shell – Black

Our daily TPS reports suggest one piece of work-appropriate attire in a range of prices. We begin the week in splurge mode, with our most expensive suggestions, and wind our way to Friday, where a less expensive item of clothing might be just what you need to make it to the weekend.
City Stretch Shirt - Plaid
New York and Company’s cotton-spandex shirts are great basics to keep in your closet — the touch of spandex means not only that they’re forgiving but also, in our experiences, that you can sometimes forgo the iron. They’re having a sale right now, too, on all of their city stretch shirts — most are marked to $25, with a special sale where if you buy one you get the second one 75% off. So you could get 2 blouses for under $33 — not bad if you’re growing your wardrobe. We like this great blue plaid number — it’s on trend with the resurgence of plaid without being lumberjack-like. City Style Solid Cardigan
We love the vibrant colors with these classic acrylic/nylon (and machine washable) cardigans from New York & Company, but: truth be told, we’re kind of most excited about the smoky gray — we always have a tough time finding that color twinset. The cardigan is now on sale for $24.45, and the matching shell is available for $18.86. City Style Solid Cardigan, City Style Solid Shell
