Lovely sheath dress from Elie Tahari, which I first spied at Bloomingdale’s (on sale in black in limited sizes) – but then I realized Lord & Taylor had all 3 colors, more sizes, and a deeper discount: score. Love, love, love the bright pop of color and the crispness for these Emilio Pucci wool pants. That nice crisp pleat, to me, is what elevates these to be office appropriate. With a bright color like this I like to wear soft neutrals like navy or gray with it, as black can look a little stark. They were $990, but are now $594 at Net-a-Porter. I have wanted a Beirn bag forever, and I’m seriously considering this one (especially considering the serious sale). Love the purple/snake embossed leather, the thin shoulder straps, the removable wristlet, and the zip pocket inside. It was $515, now marked to $310, with an extra 30% off bringing it down near $200. Happy Tuesday! I think this is a really pretty, classy dress from Muse — and it looks comfortable, too. I particularly like the gathered ruching at the waist (flattering!), and call me crazy, but I think the polyester/spandex fabric has a great drape to it. It was $184, but is now $119. Reader L writes in to recommend this dress, which looks really cute and has numerous glowing reviews. I like the slightly flared sleeves and the bright colors. While cowl necks can be difficult to accessorize, I might try by either a) wearing a short necklace that hits above the cowl, b) wearing a brooch in the shoulder area next to the cowl, or c) loosely looping a scarf to create more cowl.
