Yesterday, readers were singing the praises of this great seamed knit skirt from Nordstrom — love that it comes in 6 colors (including fever pink, pictured, as well as black, gray, “grapevine” purple, “cadet” blue, and “chalet” green). It’s fully-lined, has lots of stretch, and comes in sizes 0-16 (reportedly running a bit large). Lovely. It’s $68 at Nordstrom. Halogen® Seamed Knit Skirt

For busy working women, the suit is often the easiest outfit to throw on in the morning. In general, this feature is not about interview suits, which should be as classic and basic as you get — instead, this feature is about the slightly different suit that is fashionable, yet professional.
It’s not often that I find a suit that I like the looks of for less than $210 — but this Halogen suit had me at hello. Love the “faint stripes” that add a bit of interest to an otherwise totally normal gray suit, and love the sliiiight peplum effect at the pockets. It’s nice that both pieces are lined, as well, and available in sizes 0-16. The jacket (Halogen® Textured Blazer
) is $138, and the skirt (Halogen® Textured Pencil Skirt
) is $68.

Neiman Marcus is having some crazy sales in its sales section. For the most part, only lucky sizes are left, but boy are they lucky! I am loving this ribbon-striped skirt from Lela Rose, which looks like it could be accessorized for all seasons. Was $695, marked to $243, with an extra 30% off – the prices comes to 170.10. This skirt is only $15, sure, but the reviews are glowing — particularly from curvy women. They say it’s comfortable, wearable year-round, and washable: sounds good to me. It’s available in brown (pictured), black, and gray for $14.99 (with free shipping over $50). Lovely. Merona® Women’s Jersey Skirt – Natures Brown

We don’t usually go for polyester skirts, but something about this one is calling to us — love the lattice print, the A-line, the at-the-knee length — it all seems lovely (especially for the price). We’d wear it with a dark red cardigan, or perhaps a shrunken blazer. Was $60, now $34.99 at Macy’s. Charter Club Skirt, A-Line Printed

Bloomingdale’s is having some good sales right now, including this great skirt from Lafayette 148 New York. Two points we like about the print: it will conceal any wrinkles in the linen, yet it’s kept from being *too* busy by being black and white. We also love the front slash pockets. Was $248, now $148 at Bloomingdale’s. Lafayette 148 New York Crescent-Print Linen Paper Bag Skirt

P.S. Incidentally, check out the shoe sales at Bloomingdale’s — take up to $150 off if you spend $500+ (or $50 off if you spend $200).
