Talbots has recently added a number of good-looking pumps to their sale section, and the prices are pretty good. I’m liking this slightly spicy “caged” platform pump, but there are a number of more conservative styles on sale as well. Most prices are under $100 — these are marked from $149 down to $44.39 (final sale, alas). Salena Suede Caged Platform Pumps

Whenever we talk about boots for the winter, the favorite brand that readers mention is La Canadienne. 6pm has a number of styles on deep discount, including this suede boot with a 2″ heel. Although not among La Canadienne’s waterproof offerings, they look like a well-made boot and for a great price: they were $210, but are marked to $63 at 6pm.com today. Whenever I shop, I take note of which brands I like, and some go on my shopping “bucket list” (things to buy, well, before one kicks the…). When I was in Germany a few years ago, I kept seeing the brand Coccinelle, and I really liked the handbags. At the time I hadn’t seen the brand in New York, so the deadline to buy a Coccinelle was “before leaving Germany.” Ladies, I was even willing to pay full price! Still, I never quite found the right bag for me, so I went home ohne Coccinelle. Happily, the brand (which it turns out is Italian) has made its way stateside, and both Amazon
and Endless have some great deals on the bags. For today’s Coffee Break, I’m liking this Raquel Tote. The black version is readily available for $550; there are also limited quantities of the brown and the olive (pictured) for as low as $190. Lovely. Coccinelle Raquel Large Tote

A few months ago, I attended a press event for Kenneth Cole (actually a really lovely dinner hosted by KC himself) and all of the bloggers got to choose one piece to take home with them. I got this suede bag in a purpley pink and I have to say it’s really lovely. The suede is so much more interesting than I was expecting for the price point — it’s textured and soft and oh-so-touchable, and the studs on the top handle make it easy to carry and grab. The bag itself is nice and roomy, but slouchy enough that it doesn’t seem huge if it’s only half-full. It’s available in brown suede at the Kenneth Cole website, but you can also get in a multitude of plain leather at 6pm
and Amazon
. The brown suede is $328. No Slouch Medium Hobo Kenneth Cole New York

Both 6pm and Zappos have great sales on these high-heeled oxford shoes from Gabriella Rocha — and I think it’s a good sign that they have all positive reviews on Zappos. Suede can be tricky in the springtime, but so long as it’s dry outside and you’re wearing something on your feet (whether it be a pair of tights, knee-highs, or a hidden nylon sock), I think these are still wearable for a few more months. The shoes are available in gray, pictured ($72 at 6pm, $84 at Zappos), a brown “camel” ($60 at 6pm, $69 at Zappos), and black ($48 at 6pm). ( The price difference between the two stores may be negligible considering the free shipping and easy returns that Zappos offers, so I thought I’d list both.)
