What am I missing? Would like to buy a fall-themed wreath for my front door today or tomorrow, meaning I need to buy locally (not order online). I am looking for one on the nicer end, but all the usual suspects – Pottery Barn, William Sonoma, etc, don’t carry in store but only online. Can’t stand Michaels and want an upgrade from Target or Walmart quality Where else should I be checking?
You could try thrift shops in upscale areas.
A few ideas:
upscale florist shop or gift shop
upscale party/events shop (like where you buy fancy wedding invitations and place settings)
furniture store or boutique that also carries seasonal decor (Ballard, or something local/unique to your town)
the floral department of an upscale deli/grocery store

Sam’s Club or Costco are usually great options for something like this.
Honestly my local mid-range grocery store (Kroger) has these and I’m sure the better ones like Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s also might have them. I feel like I was in a Super Walmart or Super Target, with groceries, recently, and I walked in and they were right there and smelled like cinnamon or apple.

If you have a larger farmer’s market in your area, they may also have a vendor that carries something. I know the farmers market in Old Town Alexandria has a vendor like that that I’ve grabbed christmas decorations at before.
