Sunscreen kits, collections, and gift sets are starting to hit the shelves — so we're rounding up 4 fun sunscreen kits to try.

If you have a sunscreen you love, please shout it out in the comments! Readers have noted these in the past…

Sunscreen hall of fame

Sunscreens readers have loved over the years are pictured: Elta MD, Supergoop!, and Kat's latest favorite sunscreen (mostly for winter). As of 2025, you can also buy value sets of Supergoop ($30, $32, $40) to try the different products. Don't forget a sunscreen stick for your purse or office!

Great Sunscreen Kits to Try

Sephora's Favorites Sun Safety Kit

The reader favorite Sun Safety Kit is available on the app today, and online tomorrow. All proceeds go to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Research Center, and features full-size products from Glow Recipe, CAY SKIN, and Beautyblender. There are also smaller versions (great for travel!) of brands like Summer Fridays, Biossance, Peter Thomas Roth, Supergoop!, Tatcha, innisfree, Ultra Violette, Lancome, and Kiehl's.

The Sun Safety Kit is $39, but a $194 value according to them.

Skin Cancer Foundation x Dermstore Sun Care Kit

Dermstore's sun protection kit

Dermstore's bundled sunscreen offering, a collection curated by the Skin Cancer Foundation, is admittedly more expensive and contains fewer products. But the included offerings look great — a full size of reader favorite EltaMD, two 3ml minis of La Roche Posay's SPF 60 facial sunscreen, a full size of reef-safe SPF 30 sunscreen lotion from Vacation, as well as a MDSolarsciences moisturizer with SPF 30, a tinted lip balm with SPF 15 from jane iredale, and a blush tint with SPF 30 from NUDESTIX.

The collection is $75 — a $115 value, according to them.

Stylevana's UV Killer Bundle Kit Set

Stylevana's collection of sunscreen minis

If you want to dip your toe into the waters of Asian sunscreen, you might try Stylevana — the big caveat here is that the shipping may take a while, so don't order it for a vacation next week. The set includes sunscreen from VT, Isntree, Beauty of Joseon, Skin1004, and SCINIC, 4 of which are the highest UV rating, PA++++. All of the sunscreens are “VANA Award winners,” meaning Stylevana favorites/bestsellers from previous years. The UV Killer Bundle Set is $41.99.

(Here's a blog post from reader favorite brand Paula's Choice about PA+ ratings if you're curious.)

They also offer a sunscreen kit of “Gothamista's favorites” for $54 including sunscreen from SCINIC, Ottie, Purito, and TOCOBO.

Cult Beauty's The Set for Sun Edit

I'm less familiar with the site Cult Beauty, but they also offer a sunscreen collection that includes full sized sunscreens from Supergoop! and INKEY, as well as travel sized sunscreen from LANEIGE and Ultrasun. There are additional products from Glow Recipe, ELEMIS, and Philip Kingsley.

They note that the kit is worth over € 205, but you can get it for $55.

Readers, which are your favorite sunscreens as we head into prime sunscreen season?

  1. Stylevana is headquartered in Hong Kong and hence the de minimus loophole is closed and HKG post stopped all shipments to the US
