I've blogged about Hoseanna before, but the site (and business) has undergone some major changes since then! To celebrate the new site and categories, Hoseanna is offering a special prize to Corporette readers — a $50 shopping credit on Hoseanna, good for all your ‘Monthly Musts'!
As a quick reminder (I'll do a full site review next week), this is a cool new site for women that is premised on the idea that, while the shopping/browsing experience is fun, sometimes busy women just want things to be auto-shipped. Accordingly, you can sign up at Hoseanna to have hosiery, feminine products, health & beauty supplies, and even intimate supplies automatically delivered to your door on a regular basis. The brands are all curated, and the prices are reasonable.
The Rules: Comment on this post (including your email address in the “email address field”), telling us ways you like to automate your life (whether it's through shopping deliveries, bill payments, or other ways). The winner will be announced on Tuesday, October 31. You must include your email in the email address field so you can be contacted by Kat in the event you win the giveaway. Your information will be held in confidence by Corporette pursuant to The Corporette Privacy Policy, and you will only be contacted by Kat in the event you win the giveaway.
All right, readers — how do you simplify your life through automation?
Disclosure: Please note that Corporette charges advertisers a fee to promote and administer giveaways.
I’m an avid scrapbooker, so I’ve joined a ton of scrapbook of the month clubs that send me monthly kits of supplies to use : -)
My drycleaning pick up/delivery is automated. Love it!
My favorite automated purchase is the monthly refill for my faucet-mounted water filter. I get it through Amazon and it’s less expensive than buying it in a store or even the one-time purchase price through Amazon! I should do this with cat litter, too.
I automate my life in different ways. I have prescriptions automatically charged to my credit card. I order groceries from Fresh Direct, where I am able to use a standing weekly appointment. There are always so many ways to automate!
My favorite way to automate is to order beauty collections from QVC. Every few months, I get to replenish my set of products and each delivery includes all the new colors of the season!
freshdirect, amazon subscriptions to energy drinks, etc.
As a busy college student who is taking classes, working, and is also the president of my sorority, the easier things are the better! Although it’s difficult for me to automate a lot of my purchases and expenses, I’d love to be able to automate my bills and many of my purchases!
I think I’d like laundry to be automated. I hate doing laundry… especially dry cleaning.
I’m all for autopilot! While I wish I could perfectly manage every part of my life with grace under fire, the truth is, if something can just get put on auto-pilot, or auto-ship, or auto-pay, I’m for it! It’s one less thing I have to do, which leaves a smidge of time for all the things I WANT to do! Hooray for Hoseanna!
I love automatic e-bills! They make this not-so-fun aspect of live mindless! I also love the auto refill option of my contacts! It’s nice to have someone else keeping track of your to-do list.
I love automated stuff for the mundane tasks in life! It allows me to spend quality time thinking or doing the stuff I love, like hugging my kids more or having date night with my hubby….hmmm.. if I had to choose between buying hosiery vs. canoodling ….canoodling every time ;)
I look forward to checking out Hoseanna!
Bill paying and necessity product auto-shipments whenever I can, of course. The most hands-down lifesaving (or at the very least, face-saving) automated blessing is pre-paying and scheduling flower shipments once a year and never having to panic that I’ve forgotten. I can also adjust some in case something new comes up.
I use autopay for student loans. This site looks awesome!
I have auto-debit on my checking account for most of my bills, including my credit card payment. Not having to worry about paying my student loans, cable, heat, electricity, etc on time is really nice. Though I realize that I am very lucky to operate on enough of a cushion that, no matter the time of month, the automated withdrawal doesn’t put me in danger of an overdraft.
I consider my CSA weekly delivery automation. Someone else picks and packs the veggies, and that more or less determines my meal planning for the next week, too. This wouldn’t be for everyone but for me, it works wonderfully–I eat more healthfully and with more variety. And I feel good about supporting a truly local business.
Paychecks and bills online.
I just started a new job where I go to court almost every day, and automated hosiery delivery sounds awesome! I generally don’t automate bills because I like to be conscious of all the money that goes out. But, I have trained my fiance (a super morning person) to make daily wake-up calls to me (because I automatically turn off or ignore my alarms). Does that count?
I use automation for my schedule, certain bills, and – now – commodity shopping! This is such a fabulous idea; I can’t wait to start using it! If you think about it, automation is in so many parts of our lives (from food to bills) already, it’s about time commodities joins.
I automate nearly everything — birthday flowers for my sister and mom, fruit of the month baskets for the in-laws, bill payments and direct deposit, personal care items delivered regularly from Amazon.com
If I could automate picking an outfit every morning, that would be great!
I automate my cell phone bill. These comments gave me ideas to make my life easier thanks!
I use automatic bill payment to pay all my bills and it is so useful!
One thing that has really helped me has been booking all of my medical appointments over a two day window. Each year, I take 2 days off in November and go for all my drs appointments (physical, gyn, derm, etc), dentist, eye doctor, etc. Planning it out this way has allowed me to just automatically rebook every year and saves a ton of time.
I also set up yearly reminders for my mom’s Christmas gifts (she get’s a stack of magazines every year). This way, I auto-pay all of them and can reduce my shopping time!
I autopay my bills, otherwise I would always be late. Just tend to forget. I would love to have groceries through automation!
I love automatic bill pay — real life saver; I would love to try out Hoseanna!
I, like almost everyone, automate my bill payments. I didn’t realize that you could automate so many other things until I looked at the comments here. Thanks for the advice, ladies!
I auto-pay my student loans – that way I don’t have to focus on the heartbreak of seeing that huge line item every month.
I automate… almost everything. Bills, charitable giving, deliveries of things like toothbrushes and hair products… the only thing I buy in a store is milk and produce. (and during the summer we have a CSA). I’d even automate more grocery delivery but I like to pick out my own produce. I already use Amazon and Alice.
I automate my life by paying my bills on the same day every month. Thanks!!
I automate my groceries and bill payments. So easy!
I am always looking for ways to cheat time. Thanks for sharing this idea – I’m looking forward to adding to my bag of tricks!
I automated my life by learning how use Excel to automatically pull in data that I used to have to enter manually.
I also have notices in my Outlook calendar very far in advance, sometimes on a recurring basis (like reminders to change the batteries in my smoke detect0r).
I automate all of my bill payments — even my rent with my Chase’s online bill-pay function, which is really convenient for any bills that don’t accept online payments. So much easier than writing/mailing checks.
I don’t, but it’s a good idea.
I use automated bill payment, but sure am intrigued with automated shipping services!
I automate lots of things – google calendar is one of my keys to staying organized. Beyond that, I’ve got online payments set up for bills – all the obvious ones from student loans to phones to internet to charitable gifts. On the latter, it saves me the hassle of all the renewal paper work and I know it saves the non profits administrative time. I’m just getting started with community supported agriculture and they’ll be delivering fresh produce to me once a week. I have a feeling this will be one of the best automated items in my life. I like to think that the time and money I save through automating tasks means I can give a little more to my favorite organizations, and have little more for myself to buy fun things like shoes :). Now if only I could automate my shoe organization, I’d be golden.
I absolutely need to automate my bill payments- it is extremely frustrating when I forget to pay my bills.
We’ve automated everything in this home! We auto-pay our bills and buy cosmetic goods and miscellaneous items via Amazon and Drugstore.com. We have saved a lot of money on shipping with Shoprunner and Amazon Prime. I even got rid of my paper magazine subscriptions and read them via Zinio now! I’m a big believer in living as efficiently as possible. Now, if someone could just deliver my groceries…
