When is the 2027 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?

We don’t yet know when the 2027 Nordstrom Anniversary sale will be, but if you’re curious about previous years, this is how it’s generally worked…

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale generally takes place in July and early August, with Early Access for Nordstrom cardholders before the sale opens to everyone.

In 2026, the sale ran from July 18 through August 9, with Early Access beginning July 14 for eligible cardholders. The 2027 dates haven’t been announced yet, but we’ll update this page when they are.

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (or NAS) is a once-yearly summer sale where Nordstrom marks down new fall merchandise for a limited time.

Unlike other sales, which focus on clearing out old merchandise, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale gives you discounts on brand-new fall merchandise as it’s hitting the shelves.

What is the 2027 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Preview?

Nordstrom traditionally offered a special catalog to whet people’s interest in the sale items, but since 2021 the catalog has been an online preview.

The preview typically opens before Early Access begins. You can’t buy things yet, but you can see what’s going to be on sale and add items to your wish list for easy shopping later.

When Can I Shop the 2027 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?

For the 2026 Anniversary Sale, Nordstrom will probably limit early access to Nordstrom cardholders, and even then heavily by tiers.

In 2025, those cardholders who have spent more than $15,000 in net purchases (Icons) receive earliest access, starting July 8, 2025, while Ambassadors ($5K) get access on July 9, 2025. Influencers ($500+) will get access July 10, 2025.

The sale opened for everyone on July 12, 2025 and will probably do the same in 2026 — but there is always a chance “the good stuff” won’t be left then. Should I Shop 2027 NAS Online or At the Store?

I’m Team Online in general, all the time, but especially with Nordstrom because they offer free shipping and free returns (to say nothing of a great return policy!). As of 2025, though, they have started dropshipping products sold by other retailers — all products “sold by Nordstrom” still have unlimited free returns, but keep an eye out at checkout to see if the product is sold by someone else.

(I always love that Nordstrom gives you prepaid return labels, though, so all you have to do is drop bigger packages at the postal counter — you don’t need to weigh anything, stand in line, or talk to the postal worker.)

That isn’t to say you should take advantage of Nordstrom — as they note, “We will do our best to take care of customers and deal with them fairly; we ask that our customers treat us fairly as well.”

That said, if you really want your stuff TODAY, do note that Nordstrom offers an “in-store pickup” option — depending on which store is your local one, they may even offer curbside pickup, where they bring it out to you. You can find your local store here.
