We’ve been huge fans of Erin Gallagher’s stuff for a while, and keep meaning to get a necklace or some earrings from her. We love that most pieces can be customized to include various stones, and that you often have a choice between gold or silver chains and hardware. Lovely stuff. We’ve customized a “Gwen” necklace to include a hammered silver chain and rutile quartz (it would be $75 at checkout). Gwen necklace

Wow! I LOVE this, and I love playing around with the site. This is definitely going to be a source of future gifts for people.
I think the version you suggest would actually be great with the jacket you suggest below, a snug white shirt or black knit shirt, and dark-rinse skinny jeans. But I’ve been a little obsessed with skinny jeans recently, since discovering I can actually wear them. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the Landsend skinny jeans — I have to order online, so would love any advice folks have (for weekends, of course!) Thanks!
I have them! They’re not SKINNY, but they’re fitted all the way down and do hug the ankle. They’re just not skin tight. I ordered a size down and they were still a little big, so keep that in mind. And they are somewhat high-waisted. They hit me below the belly button, but above the “pooch.” I really like them … they’re a little bit less youthful while still on trend, and I can bend down and pick things up and never show underwear.
Thank you KLo!
Nice!!!!!!!!! I would definitely wear this!
Has anyone ever tried any of the free silver jewelry at http://www.silverjewelryclub.com/ ? Supposedly, you only pay for shipping, but I’m concerned that it would turn into a big spamfest. I supposed I could try it with a throw away email address…
Looks awesome, but I’m scared to try!
3L – good instincts. Looks very scammy.
on the eg site, what is the difference between the custom stone cost classes (40/stone, 20/stone, 10/stone) ? is it size? cut quality?
Some of the $40 stones are the ones that are always more expensive – garnet, rut. quartz, citrine. But then, yes, it gets confusing, when you have, say, $10 rock crystal and $5 rock crystal. If you look closely at the pics as you click the different names and prices, seems to me the stone is smaller. But they don’t explain it anywhere that I found..
I currently have a rutilated quartz earrings hovering at the check-out. $85. Bit pricey for right now… but I’ve lusted after a nice piece of rut. quartz since forever…
The prices of the stones also have to do with how big they are–the $5 is the smallest, $40 is the biggest, as well as the quality and stone selection.
I give the self-desgined earrings as gifts all the time–join her email list & you get coupons, free shipping offers, etc.
Erin is really nice, her stuff is super cute and the best part is that you are supporting a woman-owned business (inspired by her deceased mother–sniff!).
FA – I’m all for supporting woman-owned independent businesses. Didn’t buy the earrings this time, but will bookmark the site.
that is a gorgeous necklace – wish I could justify $75 right now on jewelry! didn’t know rut. quartz was that lime green color, which is one of my favorite colors. will definitely bookmark this.
never mind – I see now that the rut. quartz is something else! still what a cool site. already thinking about many gift-giving opportunities.
Thanks for all of the great comments ladies – great choice rut. quartz is one of my absolute favs.!! Can’t believe it comes out of the ground like that- the black line are actually titanium. Sadly they are a bit pricey – and there’s really no cheaper substitute – will definately let you know if I find one.
