Reader Z wrote in to us about these lovely flats: “I just got these in today, and they're beautiful! I have the black – it's subtle and work appropriate for people who can wear flats, and the quality is amazing. Can't beat the price.” Nice! The purple/brown (pictured) strikes us as an interesting shoe to wear with brown/khaki/beige/caramel outfits, and has plenty of sizes left. (The black, unfortunately, only has lucky sizes left.) Both shoes are around $83 right now at Endless — on sale from their original price of $150. Lacoste Women's Belvoir 150 Flat,Dark Purple/Brown

what a disappointment. these shoes are so cute but they only go up to a 9 and i need a 10 or sometimes 11 :(
They’re a little too blah/grandma for me — I find it hard to believe that equally plain/boring flats can’t be found – and comfortable for half the price.
I like these — I did a search for flats and love these Kenneth Cole flats – anyone have a pair to report in on comfort/fit?
Don’t have these but I loathe Kenneth Cole shoes. The fit is just a little bit off for me (just slightly too tight) and they are cheaply made and uncomfortable. I have banned them from my wardrobe. That said, they have been banned for several years now so maybe they’ve turned things around since then.
Thanks — I did the same thing w/ Bandolino shoes years ago – anyone have a more up to date review?
I’ve had decent luck with Reaction shoes. The quality isn’t bad for the $50 price range and they are good for women who have a narrower heel. The only issue I’ve had with some shoes is that the insole adhesive is really week and they come unglued in hotter weather. I imagine this won’t be as much of a problem in a cooler climate or if you wear powder or put a liner in for hotter days.
YES! I just pulled out my summer shoes and wore my twice-worn Bandolino wedge sandals to mark the start of summer weather in NY and my feet are now marked with scabs and blisters from them! Ugh.
I hadn’t worn them last season because I was interning all summer, but now I can wear cute shoes because all I do is bar review =)
I disagree with MelD — maybe I’m super sensitive, but the Kenneth Coles I bought two years ago were on the aching side of comfort. For the price range, they were worth it, because I wore them a number of times for short-term-standing activities, but I ultimately decided they weren’t worth it any more.
Too stiff, IMHO. But if the style is cute enough, maybe it wouldn’t bother you, given the price range.
I love Bandolino shoes. It’s a go-to brand for me. I can actually buy them without even trying them on if they are standard heels, and I know they will fit and be comfy to walk in/stand in all day. I haven’t noticed any change in the fit of their pumps/slingbacks over the last few years.
I disagree about Bandolino. It is literally the only brand of pump I now buy. I am an in-between size (8 to 8 1/2) with somewhat wide feet. And Bandolino 8s are absolutely perfect on me. The heel tips tend to wear quickly, but I just get them replaced right away and continue on.
I had a pair of Kenneth Cole flats that I (probably) over-wore and they stretched terribly. These look better because they have a seam around the edge, but that was my experience with Kenneth Cole reaction
Anyone besides me getting an SAS vibe off these?
LOL. Maybe they are better in person? They could be cute with pants.
Ah, thanks. I googled and kept getting British “Special Air Services” which didn’t seem likely.
Thanks for asking – I was confused as well.
Fugg x 3. But I’m probably biased because I despise flats in general. I know buckles and bows might turn some folks off, but that’s the only way I can wear flats so they don’t look like diabetic shoes (my diabetic MIL’s term, not mine). My black Bruno Magli’s http://bit.ly/9InGDq and these purple Anne Kleins http://bit.ly/9KSIEl are the only flats that have entered my closet, aside from sandals and flip-flops!
Funny, I think the Bruno Maglis look dowdier than these. What a wide variety of tastes we have (thankfully)!
I am just not a fan of flat shoes with anything but a round toe. They make my feet look big
dowdy doo.
Looks comfortable. Ideal for everyday wear. I don’t think it looks like grandma shoes.
