We're liking this lovely pump from Samanta, a brand that we've never heard of before but apparently focuses on “stylish footwear with unique comfort features.” (And they come in sizes as large as 13!) The “Nancie” pump strikes us as a great basic — the slightly rounded/slightly pointy toe is a perennial classic, and the closed toe means you can get away with it even at the most conservative offices. Lovely. It's $199 at Endless.com in black, red, and brown. Samanta Women's Nancie Pump Back to Top

I really, really like this. The swirly bits of leather on the sides give it a more interesting and feminine look than a straight black pump would.

Lovely. I’d love to hear about the comfort from someone who has tried this brand.

“Lovely” is exactly the word I thought when I saw it, too. As someone who is fairly hard on her shoes, I’d like to know about the durability.
Shayna
Like the sides, but for $199, I want to know more about the brand, and try them on before purchasing!
Sharon
Contrarian – I’m all about femininity, but those cut-outs can come across as cheap, IMO.

I agree! When I read the price, I was actually pretty shocked.

Love the stacked heel — leather-covered heels, which I gouge every time, are the bane of my shoe existence!
AIMS
I’m not sure about the stacked heel. It’s hard to tell from the picture but some are just as easy to gouge as the leather ones (it’s the bain of my existence too).
I also remember reading somewhere (maybe here?) that wooden heels are a no-go for dressy offices. It had never occured to me before, and I am still not sure I agree, but now I am oddly reluctant to wear wooden heels to work. Any opinions on this?

i have wooden stacked heels that i wear to my conservative (ish) law office. I think it depends– mine are beige patent so the wood is not a huge contrast, and they are great summer dressy shoes. I think the contrast can make it look to casual, but i have seen great navy shoes with darker wooden heels that look great. I would wear them to court (but not to trial).

my concern from a comfort standpoint is the cutouts – I’ve found that while I like the look of cutouts they often end up causing blisters if there is even a touch of humidity in the air. Does anyone else have this issue? I should mention this is because I rarely to never wear hose except for in the winter.
Frump
I think it’s possibly less an issue of the cut-outs per se and more an issue of the fit- I find on a shoe if there is ANY part of the shoe, cut-out or not, that doesn’t sit flush/nicely against my skin or pinches/rubs in any sort of way, it will probablycause a blister. I think cut-outs are just more prone to not sit well than other features of a shoe.

A black, non-patent, pump with some interesting styling? Love! However, I am a little leery of $200 for an untested brand … does anyone have experience with this brand?

I like all 3 colors! I particularly like how the brown ones have black detailing. Wish I could afford them…meh!

I like these a lot. I think the cutouts make them a spring/summer shoe though, and for $200 I’d like one I could wear the other 9 months out of the year.
Eva
Truly lovely. This shoe makes me so sad I cannot wear heels.

Endless has free shipping so someone needs to try out this brand, lol.
I’m looking for opinions on a couple of shoes for the summer to wear with pants. The brands are, admittedly, not the brands I think of when thinking about a heel for summer but for some reason I like these shoes.

I like it for a casual look with jeans. (I’m not a fan of white shoes with dark heels, but I like it in the other colors.) I will definitely vouch for Clark’s comfort if you will be walking around a lot in them.

I tried this brand a couple of years ago and it’s true that the shoes are comfortable (at least the ones I ordered were). The sizes run big, though. I ordered my usual size 8.5 and ended up sending them back for a smaller size because I could practically fit my hand in the space between my heel and the back of the shoe.

If you look under the “how it fits” link, it says it runs a full size large. Which probably means I couldn’t fit the smallest available shoe size… damn my tiny feet.
ll
Pretty! Unfortunately, my feet tend to ‘squish’ out of cut-outs … not a good look. These might not be so bad – tends to be more of an issue with cutouts towards the toes of higher heels.
Frump
This is alright, I suppose, but my personal taste for summer tends to favor peep toes. Seeing as how this shoe is a bit less formal because it has cut-outs on the side and doesn’t seem like it could be worn with nylons, I see no difference between it and a peep toe (in either case you’re exposing the potentially ‘less nice’ parts of your feet, either your nails or the potentially dry/thick skin on the sides), so I’ll stick with my peep toes.
Plus, for $200, I’d rather get a pair of Stuart Weitzman shoes… they are regularly on sale for that price or less on Zappos and obviously have a bit more cred/quality surrounding their name.

Like, don’t love. Meh.

No, no, no, never , never, never, at least for work. I can’t picture this shoe under or near the desk of a Corporette reader (unless your desk is very different from mine).
