If you’re looking for a light fall layer, this bomber jacket from COS looks fab.
It’s a boiled wool blend, and I like the sculpted seams — all bomber jackets are inherently casual, but this one feels elevated.
It’s $129, available in 2 colors in sizes XS-XL, at COS.
(Psst – we’ve discussed whether you can wear bomber jackets to the office!)

I love a cozy blanket. Has anyone tried the Lola blanket and does it live up to the hype?
yes! They are the best. Highly recommend.
can anyone suggest a good “put your pet’s face on __” company? does it matter? thinking of PJs for my husband with our puppy’s face.
My husband is picky about PJ fabric so I guess I’d try to avoid the cheaper polyesters. I’ve gotten him custom graphic t-shirts but so far not PJs yet and not with photos.
Does anyone here have any insight/special knowledge as to why some wool is itchy to some wearers but other wool is fine? I recently got a wool-blend sweater from Talbot’s that I cannot wear because it itches me so much. However, I have several wool-blend sweaters from Boden that feel just fine. I have a thick 100% wool sweater knit in Ireland that feels fine as well. Is there something in the processing and manufacturing? Is it the breed of sheep?
for me it depends on the blend. 100% merino or cashmere is usually just fine. The minute it’s nylon-acrylic-poly-alpaca-wool, I don’t even bother trying it on.
I thought it had to do with the length of the fibers?
Does anyone have a good recipe for higher protein banana bread? I saw some cottage cheese ones on instagram
But I am not sure if they are any good.
Kindly, don’t. Less sarcastic answer – It doesn’t work. You can add more fiber (oatmeal, nuts, wheat germ, etc.) without changing it. The more protein solutions are going to make your banana bread less satisfying for not getting the same amount of protein as if you just ate a yogurt with your banana bread.
This. I have yet to try a high-protein version of any carb that tastes as good as the standard version. IMO, some of these substitutions change the texture in an unpleasant way even if the taste is OK enough.
I hate flour and starchy foods, so I always prefer the high protein version of anything. To me this reinforces that they don’t taste the same and the same people won’t like both.
when i go to the grocery store, i’m starting to find it comical all of the products they’ve managed to turn into ‘high protein’ foods – from potato chips to popcorn to basically everything and anything
It’s so dumb. Then we’ll be on to the next diet trend in two more years.
My daughter loves horse back riding. I am very anxious about the risks involved – she fell with the horse this past weekend after the horse tripped and it was very scary to learn about it. Thankfully bc of her air vest she was totally fine. How would you handle it from a parenting perspective? She is a teen so I used to think she’s old enough to assess her own risks and we gave discussed the risk/benefit with her on it. My parents think I shouldn’t allow her to continue competing in it. Wonder what others think.
Teens are in a risk taking phase of life! I might be tempted to suggest vaulting, but perhaps she has no interest in it.
