I was excited when RocksBox founder (and Corporette reader)
Maia Bittner reached out about offering a free yearly subscription to one lucky reader. Her new service allows you (with the help of a RocksBox stylist) to get 3 pieces of designer jewelry at a time — wear them for as long as you like, then send them back for 3 new pieces. Featured designers include CC Skye, Gorjana, Isharya, Ted Rossi, Samantha Wills, Lucas Jack, Margaret Elizabeth, Salty Fox Jewelry, and David Aubrey. As an added bonus, readers can use coupon code corporette to get 50% off your first 3 months of membership.
The Rules: Comment on this post (including your email address in the “email address field”), telling us where YOU'D wear new jewelry. Agreed! Work would be fabulous since I am just coming back from maternity leave and would really like to spruce things up a bit since I am losing weight and can’t afford new clothes too frequently.
I have a metal alergy so I never really learned how to style myself properly. I would wear the pieces everywhere I go!
Have anyone of you gotten shingles from being too stressed out? I’m only 24 years old but was recently diagnosed during an outbreak. It’s horrible and the only explanation my doctor gave me was that I was too stressed. This has made me revaluate my life goals and pursuit if happiness. Not to be an over dramatic, but I now realize that health comes first. I work in finance and have to take care of my mom while also studying for the gre. I guess I didn’t even realize I was burnt out until this. Now I’m not sure if this field is even for me. I know there’s going to be stress no matter where I work but I truly do by enjoy the work. I find it boring and meaningless. At the same time, I feel like I’ve come so far so I shouldn’t quit. What should I do? Is it too late or early for me to switch fields/career?
Everywhere! Date night, brunch with friends, fun fall excursions (like winery tours), holiday parties, and anywhere else I’d like to look fabulous.
LOVE the idea! Would wear them EVERYwhere! Thanks for another great giveaway!
I love wearing jewelry to work with my otherwise fairly staid wardrobe (lots of neutrals and classics). So I would definitely wear it to work and for waltzing about town on the weekends.
I’d wear new jewelry everywhere, since I’m just now figuring out that A) I need jewelery and B) how to style it.
To up my game! Particularly for nights out, weddings, etc. But I also love a pretty thing just for me to look at. :-)
Everywhere! Jewelry is my favorite way to make my boring old clothes interesting again!
With a new promotion, I have been trying to update my business wardrobe and jewlery has been an afterthought. I would love to have some rotating jewelry options to help look the part in my new role!
I love to have some nice jewelry for work. I’d also wear them when out with friends!
Just one place? I’d wear those pieces to work, out with the girlfriends, even around the house when I need to feel a little special. ;-)
I’d wear it to my new job and any related evening events/music venue dates with my husband.
Ooh la la! I love Birchbox… bring on the accessories!
Forgot to mention I need to sparkle to make date night outfits really shine!
For the last several years I’ve freelanced from home-and then got an office job! My jewelry collection is basically nil at this point, at least for fun/appropriate work options!
Work– my work jewelry wardrobe consists of one necklace at this point, so getting more into the rotation would be great!
I’m also boring, and would probably just wear them to work. :)
I would wear them at garden parties!
I’d wear it during business trips – jewelry can spice up the same travel wardrobe.
I have an accessories fetish so I wear jewelry anywhere. From the office to Friday night movies to Sunday brunch. Even while running errands. Shameless, I know.
I’m already thinking ahead to holiday parties and winter weddings – changing jewelery would let me wear a dress to multiple events without boring myself!
Everywhere! But who am I kidding– mostly to work.
I’d wear the necklaces with my perfect-fit Gap tees to weekend Brunch or Friday night cocktails!
I work from home, but I would wear these every time I went out!
I would wear them with everything! Tee shirts and jeans on weekends, otherwise conservative work outfits, evenings out
I would wear them with everything! Tee shirts and jeans on weekends, otherwise conservative work outfits, evenings out
would wear to weddings to spice up lbd’s!
As everyone else has said, I would wear them to work! Would love to try some new pieces.
I was recently told I would benefit from adding some “feminine touches” to my wardrobe :( I work in a conservative field and dress accordingly. If I have the opportunity, I’ll wow my friends and co-workers by wearing these sparkly beauties with everything!
I would wear it to holiday parties, weddings, and graduations!
I would wear them to my new job as a new attorney!!
EVERY WHERE! Jewelry makes getting dressed each day more fun.
I’d wear them everywhere, but why not ordinary situations? Farmer’s market, grocery shopping, running errands. Every day is a day for fun jewelery.
I’m starting a new job that is requiring me to invest in my first business professional wardrobe. I’m thinking I should invest in some new jewelry to match my new threads, and it’d be fun to try a variety of things out to help me figure out what I like.
I literally just started my new firm job on Monday and I’m dying to spruce up my work wardrobe – I think this would help a lot!!!
I’ve made a promise to myself to wear at least one piece of jewelry each day at work (earrings, necklace, or bracelet). I am STRUGGLING with that promise and my current jewelry box and budget–this would help out!
I’d love to have new looks to spruce up my work outfits. I also have a lot of conferences to attend with my husband, so I’d like to have cool jewelry to show off.
Work and school!
I’m not a jewelry wearer (I have two necklaces, and wear, except on rare occasions, only one). But having a rotating selection of jewelry (with the added incentive knowing that the pieces would be replenished as soon as I turned in the old ones) would make me experiment with jewelry for work, weekends, and anything else! And who knows: maybe the habits would stick (and my wardrobe would certainly thank me for it).
I’d just be basic and wear to work, though I would need something shiny for various networking happy hours….
