Does anyone know if JCrew typically offers a bigger discount online for Black Friday or Cyber Monday?
AIMS
I have only seen them do discounts bigger than 25% if they are off individual categories, e.g.., 30% of all sweaters. But they usually do price adjustments within 14 days so if there’s something you have you eye on, go for it and just check the price Monday.
AIMS
I just checked: the official policy says that they only do price adjustments on full price items within 7 days. I definitely remember getting price adjustments on sale items but apparently that was not “official policy.”

I was going to make an order on Ann Taylor until I read their return policy… you can only return online orders by mail! I don’t want to pay to try on clothes that may not fit. Loft lets you return online purchases to the store, I don’t know why they differ.
Anonymous
Umm that’s not true at all. Read it slower next time- you can return everything except wedding dresses in store.
Plan B
I’ve definitely returned items purchased online in the store.
Emily
Same I’ve returned online orders to AT several times

Kat I love the photo! It’s saying, “Do you want to save for a down payment on that cool home or do you want another outfit you don’t need?”

Speaking of sales, is cyber monday still a thing or has it been moved up to Friday now? I feel like all these sales are starting earlier and earlier and the concept of Cyber Monday is not really applicable now (except that some retailers will just continue a sale or give you some perk symbolically to encourage you to shop on this “shopping” day).
ANTHRO
Anthropologie has an added 25% off sale items. Woo hoo.
Blonde Lawyer
If anyone is looking for a watch, the Movado Company Store is doing an additional 40% off your entire purchase today.

Such a delight! Such a delight! I wasn’t looking for watches until I saw this, but plans change.
ADL
Quincy, which Kat reviewed the other week, is having a 30% off friends and family through Monday – QGIVESTHANKS. Am trying out their items. I’ve ordered “my size” according to their charts and also ordered a second size for free. Will report back when I receive my order.

You guys. This is so off topic but my family is driving me batsh*t insane. Every year, I tell myself that I am more zen and have more patience and can rise above it all and not get engaged in a fight or argument because I know that there is no point and no one wins but then I come back to Thanksgiving, and my dad is busy hating on how all the g*ys are trying to destroy the world by getting married and my mom tries to force feed me 20 different things I don’t want to eat and my younger brother is the most ungrateful, spoiled brat I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with and I have no car and no way of leaving the premise and I WONDER WHY I CAME BACK AT ALL.

O M G you are describing my family!! At least my parents aren’t prejudiced, but my mom knows how to Push My Buttons like no one else. My husband is always wondering out loud why I even bother to call/visit because everything turns into a fight, completely instigated by my mother. She seems to love it when my siblings and I get all riled up and offended.
I have no advice, just solidarity.

Thanksgiving was fine. Today, I screamed my head off. Brother is mentally ill, mom just plain regular crazy and addicted to pain pills. If one of them calls my cell, and I have the audacity not to pick it up, within twenty minutes, my husband will have been called, and I will have 6 missed calls from both of them. Could be an emergency (him going to mental hospital or her going to regular hospital) but most of the time, no. It is just that they can’t figure out how I maybe talked to one of them fifteen minutes before and NOT I AM NOT ANSWERING.”OMG Where could she be????” DOes not matter how many times I say that I often have my phone turned off for court or meetings and don’t always hear it in my purse. Or that I may be in a conversation with someone, or in the tub, or having sex with my husband. Nope They just freak out. And today. . . I screamed at both of them and said F you to both. And, yeah, neither one of them work.

Rent a car next time. Really.
