I keep hearing readers sing the praises of Margaux, and I love the look of their best-selling demi flats.

Readers have said it “molds to their feet,” which is always a huge compliment.

The shoe comes in leather, suede, fabric, and woven options; there are currently 15 varieties available in medium, narrow, and wide sizes 4-13.5.

Psst: we just updated our guide to the best heels for wide feet!

    1. I am late to respond, but- I am someone who does not have diabetes or other insurance qualifiers, and my PCP still wrote me a prescription. I pay out of pocket, and Lilly Direct, as others have stated, is the least expensive OOP option for Zepbound. Super easy and efficient. I get the vials, and quickly got over the fear of injecting myself. I have always been on the lowest dose, so the cost is manageable (not cheap, but manageable). It’s been nothing short of life-changing. I wish you all the best!

  1. favorite recent tv shows to watch? i need something to fill the hole left in my life by Pitt

    1. Deadloch, The Night Manager, Ponies, Slow Horses, Platonic, and there are new seasons of Beef, Shrinking and For All Mankind, I haven’t watched yet but plan to soon.

    2. The Last of Us (violence and zombies for days but also incredibly compelling), Blue Lights (The Wire but modern-day Belfast), Day of the Jackal.

    3. For the first time I subscribed to BritBox, so this is like the opposite of the Pitt. I am watching some of the amazing BBC productions of the Dicken’s classics – Little Dorrit, and Bleak House. Love it all.

Otherwise the best thing I have seen recently is the really great Australian series – Mr Inbetween. Great ending, and I also was sorry it ended.

      1. On Britbox, I really liked Ludwig, which also has Gerran Howell from The Pitt. And I think the Up documentary series is still on there too? I just read that 70 Up will be out later this year, with a new director, as the one who had been involved since the children were 7 died a few years ago. It took a few to get really get into, but following these kids every 7 years over their entire lives is incredibly moving.

    4. I only liked the first season of The Night Manager, and was disappointed by the current one.

LOVE The Pitt and Succession, and recently have watched all of The Morning Show with my husband. Very entertaining, though not as stressful as either of my favorites.

      1. Second season of Night Manager was SO bad. I have a serious crush on Tom Hiddleston and even so I could barely watch.

    5. Contrary to how these things usually go, if you liked the original Scrubs, the revival is actually good.

      1. DH and I are enjoying this! We were huge Scrubs fans back in the day, so it’s been a great hit of nostalgia while we enjoy new story lines and characters.

      2. Rooster is also good if you liked Scrubs (or maybe even if you didn’t? I never really got into it). Same creator and some of the same actors.

          1. Pacific Pride! The outdoor classic “New England college” scenes were filmed at my Alma Mater, which is in Stockton CA. University of the Pacific. It’s a gorgeous campus.

    6. I quite liked The Steal.
I enjoyed (but I’m not sure I liked) Young Sherlock.
If you haven’t seen Poker face, season one is very good.

  2. Would love some ideas for fully made-ahead appetizers. I will be hosting a vegetarian, someone who doesn’t eat cheese/milk, and someone with a gluten intolerance (have confirmed that e.g. a cutting board that has touched gluten is fine as long as it’s been washed).

I’m planning on an antipasto board (cheese, nuts, prosciutto/salami, fruit, tapenade, etc.) with crackers to the side; a veggie tray with hummus; tortilla chips with guac and salsa; and a pasta salad with roasted veggies (parm on the side). I’d like at least a couple more things. I’ll have time to microwave but anything involving the oven is a no-go. Any more ideas?

        1. You don’t have to eat them. They are a courtesy to the non-cheese/dairy and vegetarian guests.

          1. I’m not saying you should serve something that the guests can’t eat. I’m just saying I would choose something else if guests can’t have dairy.

    1. I make shakshuka when my gluten-free relative visits. I also bought GF wraps once and served fish tacos.

    2. If you have an air fryer, frozen fries/hash browns/tots can be the basis for a ‘make your own fries’ station. Alternately, a simple potato salad would also work.
I’d also include some sweet options like fruit skewers/fruit salad and GF/vegetarian cookies or chocolates.

  3. What should I wear to a daytime minor league baseball game with coworkers/execs in my company’s corporate box? It’s expected to be hot (the box is air conditioned, though we’d spend time outside to watch the game). I’ll come from work, though my office is fairly biz-cas.

I’m thinking a nice tee shirt. Jeans or ankle slacks? Sneakers or flats/loafers? A casual blazer?

    1. It is very, very common for people to wear work clothes in these situations, and that’s what I would do. I’d opt for a midi skirt, short sleeved top, and either comfortable flats or dressier sneakers.

    2. Denim can be a really hot fabric to wear in the sun. I’d go with ankle pants and any flat shoe. Maybe a jacket over something like a team or team colors tee or loose blouse? Bring a hat and sunglasses.

    3. My go-to ourfit for this situation is a team t shirt (or casual-but-polished shirt in team color), white jeans or a color that complements aforementioned shirt, and casual, lightweight blazer.

      1. This but switching out the white jeans for linen pants – can’t be trusted with condiments and white jeans. I’d also ask people that have been to the suite before. Minor league suites vary pretty considerably in how air conditioned they are.

    4. Every time I’ve attended one of these, people have worn their work attire (planned strategically to be comfortable in the box – so comfy flats, a lightweight skirt, men in lightweight tech pants) or maybe switched their work top for a team shirt before heading to the game. Def not jeans if it’s going to be hot!

    5. I wouldn’t wear a midi skirt to a baseball game – I’d go for a lightweight pant like the Wonderstretch ones or Spanx perfect pants

        1. In corporate boxes you do see more variety. Yeah you look overdressed walking to the boxes but who cares?

    6. Business casual work clothes unless you’re already a fan of the team, in which case wear the jersey.

    7. I’m in the south but my go to is a linen jumpsuit with a cardigan to put on when we’re in the box and the team’s hat!

  4. random rant: i hate when friends don’t take the next step.

friend A – we need to get together!
    me – yes!
    friend B – yes!
me – ok shout out times for the next week or two I’m probably free
    B – I can’t do tonight
    A – I’m sick
    B – then let’s not do tonight

    (crickets)

    1. Why wouldn’t you say something like “Ok, any times next week that work for you guys?”
I realize people refusing to pick a date can be frustrating and there’s a limit to how much you can organize without participation from others, but it kind of sounds to me like you dropped the conversational ball since they both said something and then you didn’t respond. I would least try to propose some dates before writing them off?

    2. I have come to realize that I am the planner in almost every situation. It sometimes frustrates me and when I am really tired of it, it means I don’t get together with certain friends and family. But when I am less frustrated. I just take the lead and say “how does next Tuesday or Thursday work at whatever place.” Many of my friends and family recognize that if I don’t make the plan, the get together will never happen and they act grateful. It does frustrate me sometimes though.

      1. I have two former coworkers I’ve been trying to get together with for close to 6 months. I decided to drop my end of the rope to see if either of them initiated. One did, and we had a one on one lunch. The other never did. So I guess they’re telling me where we stand!

      2. It doesn’t change the fact that you’re the planner, but if you get thee some nice friends of the Midwestern or related flavor, then at least you get genuine appreciation for planning and organizing!

    3. I’m a big fan of making plans that work for me (and maybe others): I’m going to do X on Date Y; let me know by Date Z if you can come also. It herds the herdable cats without making it a big negotiation.
