Suit of the Week

This suit is, admittedly, a mixed bag. The pros: We love, love, love the shape of it. The skinnier pants, the longer jacket — if you can pull this off, you'll look like a model. The cons: you generally must be SHAPED like a model in order to pull this off — also, the edge trimming is a bit too… funky for our tastes. But it is a designer suit, and certainly one you could wear to the office. Available at Yoox.com (size 6 only, bien sûr) for $395 (was $475). Galliano Spring-Summer Suit. Readers, please write in — have you seen any great suits lately? (Any suits in this cut?)

yuck.
Definitely too casual if your office has a business formal dress code. Save it for casual Fridays.
Even out here in LA, where we are a lot less formal than NY or Southern law firms, this would not fly. I am pretty sure wearing this to work would make you the subject of significant mockery in the office.
this suit is AWFUL!!!! AWFUL. What are you thinking?
The pants appear to be causing a “camel toe” effect.
Now that I’ve read the comments, I can’t help but stare at the camel toe.
This is basically a hot mess. It’s absolutely disgusting. And I come from the art world…
Do some pants innately “cause” camel toes, or is that a feature of improper fit? Those pants seem to have caused both a camel toe and puckering at the hips…ouch.
so true about the camel-toe!
wow, this is just awful.
Please tell me this is another April Fool’s gag! Gah.
I cannot imagine anyone wearing this suit and looking anything other than ridiculous. Terrible!
I love the cut, especially the pants. Very fashion forward.
I usually love the suit of the week, but I was very surprised to see this pick. It is not even flattering on the model, and would definitely stand out (in a bad way) at at any firm, even those with a more relaxed dress code.
no.
no.
no.
this is not professional at all.
no.
This looks like a fifth grader’s home ec homework. Awful.
Wow, not only is it camel-toe-y, the lapels don’t lie right either. Happy May Fool’s Day?
Sorry, NOT a fan! I’m too curvy to wear this anyway, but even if I could, I think it’s ugly (even ignoring the trim).
