Has anyone ever bought a shoe stretcher? I have feet shaped like inverted triangles and something bunion-ish on the left foot, and usually need to take shoes to be stretched — but then realized I could just buy a stretcher on Amazon. Could it be the fulfillment of all my hopes and dreams? If I could figure out how to use it, it would be worth the $45.
I tried that water-in-baggies trick in the freezer and I guess it stretched them a bit, but not enough.
Many thanks in advance!
I bought a shoe stretcher from eBay for about $12. Works well.
I finally stopped trying to find tall boots I like and that fit me in person and ordered a pair from Zappos. These: http://www.zappos.com/frye-sylvia-piping-black-soft-vintage-leather
I can’t wait for them to get here!
I am starting job hunting soon and I face myself with a dilemma – I know I will be asked the “What’s been your greatest challenge” etc type questions; any suggestions what to say when one of the main reasons you’re wanting to find a new job is the utter lack of meaningful challenges in your current job for the past several years?
Search the archives here. Also go to Ask a manager dot org and do the same. Similarly articulate & thoughtful commenters on both sites.
Maybe a long shot, especially this late in the weekend, but does anyone have a sense of salary ranges for industry outreach/technology transfer positions in higher education? This would be at a private institution in a very HCOL area.
