I went into BR a few weeks ago fully intending to buy this blouse in yellow. However the sleeves are too puffy (not like in the photo) and the fabric too transparent to wear by itself. I really wanted to like it, but I passed. Maybe under a summer blazer.
I have a huge favor to ask of you wise people. When you post things in colors that are not standard (standard to me is white, black, gray, navy blue), can you indicate what sort of coloring it takes to carry this off? It will help me to escape from my drab, dull, wardrobe…
LPC – I suggest investing in the book Color Me Beautiful. It is older and old-fashioned in that it doesn’t adequately differentiate between darker skin tones, but it nonetheless is a good start for figuring out what family of colors will look best on you and it has handy pull out color swatches for your color family that you can take with you when shopping.
