Wednesday’s TPS Report: Theory Shirtdress

Our daily TPS reports suggest one piece of work-appropriate attire in a range of prices. We begin the week in splurge mode, with our most expensive suggestions, and wind our way to Friday, where a less expensive item of clothing might be just what you need to make it to the weekend. Theory Shirtdress We like the high neckline, bold print, and nice shape of this Theory shirtdress, available at Bergdorf Goodman. We'd wear a slip underneath it (just in case!) and with a low heel (particularly if it's as short a dress as it looks on the model). One of our theories is that prints should always come from an expensive, well-respected brand. Don't be buying a printed dress at Ann Taylor Loft or Old Navy — not only will people instantly recognize it as being of that brand, but frequently they're poorly made, with the fabric not lining up properly on the seams. Theory works.
