I have literally walked several miles in them in a day and they (and my feet) held up great. They are a good height for pants or skirts (2 3/4″) , fashionable but not trendy and come in great colors – even hard to find classic navy! This spring they had a nice cream color and it looks like they've just rolled out a black suede for fall. At just under $100, they are a good deal for such a comfortable classic. I have bought them in a couple of colors and couldn't be happier with them.(We are intrigued that they also come in dyeable satin, for $107, also — handy if you're a bride or a bridesmaid.) The ones pictured — classic black — are available at Zappos.com for $89. Calvin Klein – Dolly (Black) – Footwear

Warning to ladies with wide feet, these will kill your feet and give you blisters. I bought these in a wide thinking they would be great. They are horribly uncomfortable. I have a pair of Calvin Klein Lara shoes that are similar in height and shape that are great and do not hurt. Try those instead.
This are cute! I have some very similar Anne Kleins, which are very comfy also.
These are okay, but I am sort of over pointed-toe shoes. anyone else?
Yawn. Boring.
Kit, yes, not liking the pointy pointy toe so much. Also teeny thin heels make my feet tired, I like a fatter heel. Also I have difficult feet anyhow, need a shoe that’s wider in front, narrower in the heel-cup. And a high arch. And I have inner-ear grief so my balance is not 100%, so nothing over 2in tall. Often end up with seriously non-fashiony shoes. Oh, well.
I have the exact same problem..I need a shoe that’s wider in front and narrower in the heel cup. Corporette, would love your suggestions here please!
I’m with you Kit. I find the pointed-toe shoes to be so uncomfortable and have far more problems with blisters than I do in round-toed shoes. I know many on here think that round toes are juvenile looking, but I’d much rather look a little juvenile than have tons of blisters.
I am also not a fan of pointed toe shoes! They make big feet look HUGE (I’m a size 10.5). Calvin Klein Paxter pumps are perfect though. http://www.zappos.com/n/p/p/7483409/c/71.html?gclid=CPOdlPKlsJwCFcZM5QodwUb2kQ. They have a 2 1/4 heel and an almond toe that is less casual than a more rounded toe.
Love these! I can’t wear overly pointed shoes, but I think these are just pointed enough not to look frumpy and still be wearable. Great height for me too. Thanks!
These look like a great basic. Thanks!
gotta say, i LOVE these shoes. own them; they’re ridiculously comfortable. and a pointy toe is always classic and elongates your leg… how can you be against that?? sure, i’m tall already, but these puppies may my legs look MILES long. and perhaps if pointy-toe shoes are uncomfortable… well, maybe you’re in the wrong size. there has been a time or two when i’ve gone down a half size (ok, even a whole size) to get an awesome pair of shoes and yeah, then they’re uncomfortable. but when they fit properly, i’ve never noticed a difference between pointy toes and rounded toes.
I have these – they are phenomenal! I survived an entire week of interviews without so much as a blister! I highly recommend them.
These are even cheaper at Macy’s if you have one of those 20% coupons.
There is nothing really objectionable about these (although pointy-toe doesn’t feel super-current to me right at this moment, it probably will roll back in soon) but they’re so boring!!!
I bought these for my law interviews this fall. I wore them for 8 days straight and they were perfect. There were so many other women at interviews with patent leather/peep toe/sparkle/bright color shoes that were just inappropriate. These were the perfect staple.
If you have the $ or can catch them on sale (Zappos, Ebay etc), Cole Haan’s Air Nike Carma wear like a dream! They generally retail between $225-275, but have Nike Air cushioning that lets me go 14 hours, no discomfort. They have a 3 inches, come in a slightly squared or almond shaped toe (more stylish than basic pointy or round toe), and a variety of colors, leather or patent. Some basic colors are also available in wide width. If you have a narrow heel, those adhesive heel-grip inserts may help.
