Me Too – Lisbon (Black Goat)In our conversation yesterday about basic black pumps, readers reminded me of a very comfortable brand that I forget sometimes — Me Too. True enough, this oxford pump has glowing customer reviews on comfort (yes, despite the height) and walkability. As I've said before, I think this style can be one of the easiest to wear in the winter with tights and pants, and I love that a comfortable iteration is on sale. They were $109, now $87.20 at Zappos. (Available in black, black patent, black suede, brown suede, and grey suede.) Me Too – Lisbon (Black Goat) – Footwear (L-2)

  1. A lot of Me Too and MIA shoes are made at the same factory as Naturalizers. When I sold Naturalizers we would occasionally get pairs that were mismarked as one of those brands.

  2. I have 2 identical pairs in brown and in black leather from Jones NY. They are awesome! I don’t want to ruin them in this awful weather, but before all the slush I was wearing them all the time.

  3. I love Me Too shoes- especially for casual wear. If you stalk the racks at TJ Maxx, you can find some cute pairs!

  4. These look awesome. I will look at this style to see if I could possibly wear it – it looks too high, but maybe there is a platform?

  5. Cole Haan Air Violets are my Oxford heels of choice. I would say they are much better quality than these and are likely on sale now for < $200

  6. I have oxfords very much like this from Circa Joan & David (got them last winter). I like them, but they are not the most walkable–the heel is similar. As to the style, even with pants (my pants are generally skinny-straight) they make me look ready to rock. I don’t mind that after hours, but I find it doesn’t really work for the office.

  7. Me Too’s are cool. The leather always looks kinda pleather-y & cheap to me (how exactly is that done, I wonder?), but they are super comfy, no doubt.

  8. I want to buy a pair of shoes like this, but I can’t tell if they are too trendy and will no longer be wearable (with a cute skirt and tights) in a few seasons. I’ve seen them all over the place, but I haven’t been clued into fashion long enough to know what is a fundamental style that carries over from season to season and what is something more trendy/seasonal. I’m trying to avoid the trendy stuff for now since I’m on a tight budget.

    1. They seem to go in and out of fashion every few years. I wouldn’t consider the shoe-bootie style truly classic, but they should work for you for at least 2 years or so. Personally, if you’re looking for something more timeless, I’d go with an oxford pump. Ann Taylor has some cute ones on sale now – and the quality of their shoes has been excellent the past few seasons. Something like this (depending on your tolerance for heel height) might work:

  9. Threadjack. Has anyone purchased a lovestitch handbag? I am thinking about getting one from ideeli, but I have not heard of the brand and I can’t find anything about them online. I know they’re not real leather, and I’m fine with that. They are listed for $45, and it says they’re usually $189…is that really what they go for normally? Thanks!

  10. Kat, please consider us “tall girls” and feature a shoe every now and then that is stylish and with a lower heel! I’m always salivating over the featured shoes but realistically cannot handle these high high heels. How about featuring one (or more!) kitten heels or similar that can be worn with pants or suits? PLEASE!

  11. re: In House — why can’t you wear a heel? Is it a comfort issue or a ‘fear of towering over everyone’ issue?
I’m six feet tall when barefoot, and around age 28 or so, I said, (pardon me), F it, I’m gonna wear heels! Who cares if you wind up being 6-3? My logic is/was, I’m taller than most people anyway (including men), so what’s another inch or so? Why should I be stuck wearing librarian flats and frumpy shoes?
And yes, my husband of 7 years is shorter than me (he’s 5-10), and I wear heels all the time when I’m with him. Clearly, he doesn’t care that I am taller than him — if he did care, he wouldn’t have married me, right?
Ok, rant over. TEAM HEELS ON TALL LADIES! (supermodels, L’Wren Scott, Geena Davis and others, join me!)

  12. Thank you for alerting me to these shoes! I ordered them in grey suede and received them yesterday. They are incredibly cute, make the foot look smaller, and are very comfortable. I have a wider foot with high arch and they fit perfectly.
