Coffee Break: Ulinda Pump

Vigotti - Ulinda (Navy Smack Mettalic Patent) - FootwearI am normally not a “bow and pleat on the vamp” kind of girl, but these shoes are calling my name for some reason! Even though I've never heard of the brand before, it has glowing reviews on Zappos — and a comfortable, durable shoe is never a bad thing. The shoes are $99 at Zappos (and in 9 different colors — the navy patent is pictured). Vigotti – Ulinda (Navy Smack Mettalic Patent) – Footwear (L-2)

  1. I’m sorry but I hate these :)
Would make me think I had something stuck to the front of my shoes. Plus, I am so tired of patent leather I am even tired of complaining about everything being patent leather. Good heads up on the brand though — I will have to keep an eye out for this one — can’t have too many comfy heels.

  2. Well, I’ll be the dissenter: I like these. But I am somewhat inclined toward the sassy, even in work-wear.

    1. Me too, and me too…and I have a great navy patent Mulberry purse that these would look very cute with, particularly with a charcoal grey….

  3. I just wore very dated Enzo Agnolini navy pumps to court this morning, because they are the only shoes I own that coordinate at all with my navy skirt suit. I think I’m going to buy these in navy to replace the 10-year-old square toe pumps. Thanks, Kat.

  4. I like these although I tried this brand in a killer pair of boots I found at zappos or 6pm and found they were incredibly uncomfortable so I sent them back. However, if I were in the market for yet another pair of black shoes I might consider this one.

  5. I like them, though I can’t really see myself wearing them. I would appreciate them on someone else, though.

  6. I think they are cute. My roommate in college had a pair of Louis Santella pumps that I wore to the campus open house and at least 3 women all wanted to know where I got them. I don’t know if I could wear these to work, because I think the men would think I was not dressing conservative enough.

    1. I don’t understand why so many women feel the need to dress conservatively. Professional does not have to be boring. These shoes have closed toes and a fairly short heel and in my opinion they can be worn in any workplace.

  7. I forgot to say that I just love the brown Donna Delman pumps at Zappos.com, they really show off my legs, so the guys just love me in them. The only problem is that I look so small when I take them off so I don’t stay standing up for long.

Take a look, tho they cost more than $200. Not sure that’s so cool these days, with the resession and all.

  8. I have this shoe but in an open toe version and in red. And I work them to work when I worked in small market Big Law (if that really even exists). I LOVE them. I get tons of compliments on them. I love this version too. But I am on a spending ban. Ugh.

    1. Kat, would it be possible to make the websites open in another window? I don’t know how hard that is to do, but it would make it a lot easier to look at things people post if I could click back and forth between two windows more easily.

      1. I used to have this problem — just write click the link and select the option “open in new tab” or “open in new window” — problem solved!

CUTE sweater — could not pull it off with my hips, though.

        I also love the heels . . . I may purchase.

      2. If your mouse has a scroll wheel, then click on the link with the scroll wheel and it should automatically open in a new window or tab, depending on your settings.

  9. Wow, I love these heels! Unsurprising though because I have a (somewhat) similar pair — albeit one with a thicker heel. If people are interested in heels with somewhat of a ruffle but less so than these, try the Bella Vita Talent.

  10. They come in a AAA width?!? OMG. Shoes almost never do that, and I have a bunch of styles (including…any pumps at all) that I can only wear in a AAA. Which almost no one makes. So I am rapturously happy when your shoe recommendations come in a range of widths. Were I not so unemployed I would’ve bought at least one color of these within seconds…
