Coffee Break: Hooded Ribbed Cashmere Scarf

Ooh: a lot of Labor Day sales are starting already. NET-A-PORTER has a lot on sale, including this (very!) expensive hooded scarf. It is STILL very expensive, even though it is 40% off, but I really do like the idea of it.
I've always loved the wrap or ruana as a topper for a blazer because it's such an easy layer — it goes on top, it looks intentional, you don't have to do the whole “hold my cuffs while I put my arm into my jacket” dance (or buy a coat a size or two up to accommodate a blazer). This version makes it even better, at least, by adding the hood. Head warmth + hair protection = sign me up.
The scarf was $4000, but is now marked down to $2400 at NET-A-PORTER. (Two other finds in the sale that are a bit more reasonable in price: I love this Gabriela Hearst scarf in dark green, as well as the colorful print on this gorgeous Acne Studios scarf.)

Does anyone have the Sue Sartor Montalcino dress IRL? I think I like it because it’s not so ruffle-puff. My office is casual, so it could be a weekday item for me.
I would appreciate your best tips for (1) getting stink out of athletic shirts, (2) getting stink out of athletic SHOES (I have tried lysol spray and sunlight, neither worked), and (3) getting Tide smell out of clothes (we only use free and clear, kids’ clothes came back from being lent out smelling like Tide). TIA!
For athletic clothes – fill tub with clothes, warm water and a healthy amount of nathan’s sport wash (think half a cup). Check on it every few hours and swirl it around – think stirring a cauldron, not a vigorous wash. By the end of the day, the water will be a disturbing grey. It was works with oxy clean.
A vinegar soak for a pair of pants I ordered on eBay is the only thing that got the super scented detergent stink out.
for foul odors:
in a spray bottle mix equal parts of wintergreen rubbing alcohol and peroxide together
spray on item, smells like a dentist office for a few minutes, then poof, gone.
old school for sneakers: crumpled up newspapers stuffed in them overnight
Scented detergent give me a raging headache. I do not have a tip for that.
Won’t peroxide bleach the color out though?
Soak the clothes in a tub with a hefty amount of white vinegar for an hour or two, then wash as normal on the hottest wash setting safe for the clothing. Repeat a few times. For the Tide smell, try a few washes with no detergent so any excess Tide can wash out.
For the shoes, you can spray vinegar inside and let it dry. You can also stuff them loosely with crumpled dry newspaper after wearing to help pull out any dampness, then place a charcoal briquette inside each shoe to absorb odors. Baking soda sprinkled inside (only when dry) can absorb odors. Don’t mingle the baking soda and vinegar because they neutralize each other; the fizz doesn’t do anything for the smell.
Do you wear wool socks?
My sneakers stank as a child. But I’ve worn wool / nylon socks and there is no stink. Might help: rotating shoes so it’s not 10+ hours in the same pair day after day.
Fill a spray bottle with rubbing alcohol and spritz it on the armpit area. For both the workout gear and Tide-scented clothes add vinegar when you run the washing machine.
