We've been seeing lots of reports of trends and — as is far too common! — we've been rolling our eyes at the prospect of wearing any of them to work. We thought we'd take a poll…
First up: a brief overview of some of the trends we've seen reported in multiple places.
The boyfriend blazer (illustrated by Aqua Boyfriend Jacket, $88 at Bloomingdales) | The jumpsuit (illustrated by Black Halo Strapless Jumpsuit, $390 at ShopBop) | Nude clothes (illustrated by Derek Lam's scarf dress, $2390 at Bergdorf Goodman) | Cropped pants (illustrated by Sonia Rykiel's cotton silk harem pants, $985 at Net-a-Porter.com) |
And now, the poll — will you wear any of these in the near future?

Well, I’m not personally planning on wearing any of them, but I feel like the boyfriend blazer and nude clothing could work.

I have tried jumpsuits. First of all, how do you visit the lady’s room without undressing in those? Secondly, the black one I had was slobby and still managed to give guys the wrong idea. There’s just something about jumpsuits large and small that gets their imaginations going… Springtime, hormones in overdrive… I’ll pass.
The cropped pants… UGH! I can’t decide if they’re Hitler, pirate, or Oliver Twist. Either way: UGHH!
The boyfriend blazer *might* look good if you haven’t got any curves or if you do, but you’re grate thin. I think the rest of us has a difficult time as it is actually getting the same crisp smooth look that’s so easy for guys to pull off! I certainly won’t pay money to look like a slob.
I think nude might work if it’s, say, a nude turtleneck with a brown suit and a brown, bold necklace hanging down? Still, not something I’d go for myself.

I pretty much hate all of these trends…for work or play. They are unflattering (on me, anyway!)

The trends give the media and fashion mags something to write about – its sensational and provocative, I don’t think they are much for the real consumer.
A chic one-button blazer would be awesome, I like neutrals, kind of nude, like in a camisole. I’m not a fan of cropped pants, nor anything with pleats. The jumpsuit is eye candy.
Liz said it all well.

Hate to be so negative…but I’m going to have to take a pass on all of it.

Cropped pants have been around for a while now, and I don’t care if it *does* come with a matching blazer, it does not look professional. One of my co-workers is wearing one of those cropped pants-suits today, and it just makes her look gangly.

Eh, I’m with you on the lack of enthusiasm for these trends. Plus, I’m really petite so none of the options are flattering on me, anyways.
