I thought I posted this question but I can’t find it anywhere so I’m trying again.
I buy all my clothes online, I’m trying to find a site where I can buy hoisery for winter – one that will differentiate between thicknesses, cotton content, sheerness, etc. I work in a casual office – for a shorter tunic thicker tights are required, for a longer tunic or a dress, you can get away some something more sheer.
If I can’t buy online, where can I buy in person, some quality tights that are work appropriate?

Spanx sells tights online (I love their Tight End Tights–they last forever and are not constricting like normal Spanx). Nordy’s sells Hue, and I like One Hanes Place for all their overstock nylons. Also, Marks and Spencer (which ships fine from the UK and has the best tights ever).

Asking for a raise?
Forgetting what Satya Nadella would say, curious what the hive has to say about asking for a raise.
I was not in a position to negotiate when I accepted my current job offer 1 year ago. I did take an approximately 8% raise in starting salary from my previous position, but I was out of work at the time so I didn’t want to push for more. I also didn’t do a lot of research into the range for the position I took/its geographic location (much smaller city than my previous job). Basically I thought the offer was fair and didn’t push.
My one year review is coming up and naturally I’d be hoping for a small raise anyway, but I recently overheard the head of HR discussing a new hire’s salary with the VP of my department. The woman they were talking about is my age, maybe younger, with less experience and far fewer technical skills (I interviewed her and had access to her resume). They were discussing offering her 10% more than I currently make, and while they weren’t overly enthusiastic (they weren’t saying, “Of course we need to offer her $X, she’s great, we don’t want to lose her”) they weren’t laughing her request off, either.
This made me wonder if I am underpaid, considering I’m much more experienced in our field. I’m kicking myself that I didn’t ask for what she is asking for initially. Is it crazy for me to ask for a raise of this amount (10%) at a yearly review? Obviously I can’t say, “because I heard you guys were thinking of offering that to X…” but I could say, “I’ve done some research and that’s appropriate compensation for my skills” etc. FWIW, I have been given nothing but positive feedback at the company so far, with the VP and CEO publicly praising my work on separate occasions. I just don’t know that asking for such a huge raise is a good idea, even though I know they were willing to pay another, junior employee the same amount.

Ask. They got a deal on you since you were out of work, and now you have a higher market value. Most importantly, if they’d pay more for your position, your position is worth it to them to pay more.

Agreed. Ask. Good if you can also include tangible/numeric results when you provide examples to back up your request. Not sure what your field is, but say things like “I improved processing time by X%” or “I converted more than X number of sales leads into clients/revenue producing projects”, etc.,
