Our daily TPS reports suggest one piece of work-appropriate attire in a range of prices. We begin the week in splurge mode, with our most expensive suggestions, and wind our way to Friday, where a less expensive item of clothing might be just what you need to make it to the weekend.
There was so much love for the purple Naturalizer pump that we couldn't resist posting this lovely thing for our splurge of the week (although, mysteriously, the name of the color is “Maroon”). It's by Taryn Rose, a line designed by an orthopedic surgeon and made in Italy — those who wear the line swear by its comfort. We love the flexible sole, the fashionable yet walkable 3.25″ heel, and we LOVE the criss cross straps. The big downside is the price: $495, making it definitely a splurge. (It also comes in black, however, which Endless has on sale at $295 right now (along with a lot of other Taryn Rose shoes, incidentally.) Taryn Rose Women's Charis Criss Cross Pump
I am a huge fan of Taryn Rose shoes – this one is really quite a beauty :)
Can anyone tell me if the patent leather trend is going to last throughout the summer?
They’re comfy but it’s hard to find a good looking pair. Most of the styles look orthopedic to me, but every once in awhile there will be a decent looking one. I’ve found that Cole Haan Nike Air shoes are even more comfortable and they’re less expensive.
These shoes are adorable but for a more cost effective option “ME TOO” a shoe line that seems to target teens, but makes pretty good shoes, makes a remarkably similar version, and they are also very comfortable. I bought a pair at DSW last March (p.s. @ K, patent leather comes in and out of style, but i think it may be more a fall/winter/spring style. A bit hot for summer. JMO). I always get tons of complements and they work for everything from interviews to salsa dancing!
Check out the Nordstrom or Me Too links below. The shoes I bought looked similar to this but had the criss-cross like the Taryn Rose. Must have been from last fall’s line.
